Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandAbsolutely stunning property in the French countryside, surrounded by fields and nature. The property itself was beautiful outside as it was inside, and the decor very subtle chic, but comfortable.

NorwayThat the kitchen was decided to be closed just few days before our arrival. Same as the message to us about it. As much as we understand the motivation, it was heartbreaking to learn that the main place that we selected for our vacation and celebration based on food review - it was closed upon our arrival and we could have a full experience. The owners of course took care of our dinner reservations in other locations and it was fine. But of course this lowered our satisfaction level overall.

Sabine and Franky were fabulous hosts! When you arrive you feel like you have arrived to a French Chateau you would only see in paradise. We loved the pool area and how spacious the lounge chairs were situated. The service was top notch. The rooms were well appointed and cozy. The town which is 6 minutes away called Eygalières is a restaurant filled small village with celebrity status.. only 1800 people population but we were shocked of the fashion, style and food..Unfortunately the restaurant at the chateau was closed for the evening we stayed there..We loved the breakfast We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you to Sabine and Franky

United KingdomNothing at all! We did not get to try the restaurant as it is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
The property is immersed in the silence and quiet of Provence countryside, with a lavender field, olive trees and a vegetable garden - it makes for a real experience. Beautiful pool, well kept. Lovely room in typical Provençal style. Delicious breakfast with express eggs made on request, local products - huge improvement from the typical grand hotel buffet. We also got to enjoy the tennis field with equipment kindly provided for free. Very kind staff providing all the necessary information and help with booking restaurants.

IrelandAlthough the nice place I felt it is not worthy the money spent. Yes the swimming pool is nice (but small) and yes the room was comfortable. But spending €373 for a night I expected a five star service and more facilities. No bar, no music or any type of service if not towel provided. There is nothing really to do after nine cause everything is closed (even the area where there are couches and pools table to play with) We spent 4 days in a far way more cheaper accommodation next to Valensole, we paid half of the money for three days and we had the same facilities, plus the hotel welcomed us with a cocktail and snacks, a little bag full of lavender and a bag of sweets. The tv didn’t have Netflix or smart connection. The toiletteries product were really simple, again not saying that we’re not enough but for the price paid you expect to live a fairytale and this was more more normal than reality😂. Breakfast: The breakfast area it’s lovely and peaceful, the staff was absolutely professional and welcoming and offered us coffee and to cook scrambled eggs. But again, how in the world it is possible in such a wonderful place not having freshly squeezed juice, a real coffee /Cappuccino machine and only mini brioche? This would have not been a weak point if finding out athat the breakfast was not included and they charged us €30 each without specifying it when asked.
Property is a beautiful mansion sorrounded by olive trees and lavender field in the middle of Provence. Chambers were comfortable and clean and the swimming pool area was gorgeous
