Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We have stayed with Pierre and Flore on several occasions now - at different times of year - and our stays have always been s complete joy. Pierre and Flore are delightful and warm hosts, and they are always happy to welcome us. Their lovely house is warm and comfortable, they beds are truly excellent, and the breakfast is always fabulous. Flore make her own cakes, and jam, and there is always something new and interesting to taste! Newly installed mosquito netting in all the bedrooms makes sleeping all the more peaceful.

Le Kouloury was perfect for our one-night stay to enjoy the nearby jazz festival. We received a warm and helpful welcome from our hosts, Flore and Pierre (and Ninou the dog - although he was more warm than helpful), and appreciated being able to use the fridge and common outdoor areas to have our dinner. There's plenty of parking and the room was clean and comfortable, even on a crazy hot day. We particularly enjoyed breakfast - generous choice with lots of homemade goodies (Walnut cake! Hazelnut spread! Jams) in addition to croissants, cheese etc. Overall, a great stay.

AustriaFlore and Pierre are very friendly hosts. We felt very welcome. Nice location, good breakfast with homemade products, like marmelade, cakes, yoghurt. Cozy house with nice decorated rooms. We stayed two nights. The first night they booked us a table at a nice restaurant. The second night we had dinner at the Kouloury. Pierre made very tasty duck. Le Kouloury is also very dogfriendly. Loved their dog, Ninou. Alltogether we had a very pleasant stay, thanks!! To recommend:-)

The breakfast was incredible, excelent food, variety (fruit salad, cheese, mermelade, croisant, juices, honey etc). Home made food. Don't miss the homemade hazenut cream, amazing!! The place was incredible quite, not a single noice except birds in the morning. An incredible sky seeing with minimum light contamination. Being able to see the Milkey Way and an sky full of stars. Perfect for night photography.

AustraliaIt was a lovely place but essentially it was a room in a large house. We don’t watch TV but if you do, there wasn’t one. Amenities were light…one towel each. No shampoo or face cloths. It was noisy being next to a busy road.
The host couple were really lovely and breakfast was fresh, home made and really nice.
