Upon checking out, I was surprised by the receptionist's request when he asked me to clean and take out the waste and rubbish bags to outside the waste container. Otherwise, they will be dedicated from the deposit.

Minor issue but as we spent most nights in because we were travelling with a toddler, the accommodation didn’t have a smart tv which meant there was only French tv to watch with no means to access streaming apps.

Ideal location in Chamonix, right next to the Aiguille due Midi cable car and just a 2 min walk to all the restaurants and shops. We had a very comfortable 1 bedroom apartment which had a large terrace with mountain views which was lovely! The pool and spa area was very relaxing after a day of hiking and exploring the area.

The only negative for me was the shared washing machine in the basement. I usually do a wash of outdoor clothing/cycling gear mid week and it was a bit of a pain and cost was 8 euros but not a deal breaker! Just would have liked to know in advance of this situation.

Location of the property is great within easy walk of town and the apartment was smart with great views and brilliant facilities. Swimming pool and gym a real luxury. Car park was easy and spacious.

There is busy road right next and your room might have view with the road.

Le Cristal de Jade is well positioned. Right next to Midi lift for off piste skiing and 5 minutes of slow walk from Chamonix South bus stop that offers bus link to all ski areas. There is a secure in-door garage and spa facilities are not busy and very good.

Catching a bus to the various ski lifts, we all missed the on slope après in the afternoons - it's more sophisticated, it's a get changed and go out for dinner in the eve and then a few drinks in town.

Accommodation was great, pool gym and location to centre, everywhere is within a 5-10 min walk. Friendly staff who were generous with their local knowledge. Ski hire shop almost next door offered a discount for residents and staff were excellent.

I liked everything in this place I think it was a perfect choice to stay in chamonix. Our apartment was exactly as presented on the pics, well equipped. We really like the spa zone and gym, again, clean and well equipped. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back to this place again.

Modern, clean, and very convenient property. It includes a decent size pool (saw ppl doing laps), kiddie pool, a wet and dry sauna, jacuzzis, and a spa. The property consists of 3 connected building. A has the reception and one side is facing a fairly busy street. We stayed at building C with a Mountain View: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a daybed in the living room which is connected with a kitchen, plus a good size balcony. We were a group of 5, and had a very comfortable stay. The room was fully equipped with everything you might need in a kitchen. Pool towels, slippers and bathrobes were included. The property is literally next to the cable car to Aiguille du midi (a great view point and access to Valle Blanche terrain. There are no groomed ski slopes there). To get to groomers, you need to either take the SKI14 bus to Chamonix Sud station and transfer, or walk about 7minutes to same. Honestly, it’s a pain to get to the slopes no matter where you stay in Chamonix. It’s about 5-10 min walk to the town center where all the clubs and restaurants are. There is a very nice coffee shop with fresh pastries 1min walk on the left. Grocery store is 2min walk from the building. The ski bus #14 departs at 04, 24, 44th minute of every hour. At stops 50m from the entrance to the reception. If you take it back, you either need to walk across the highway for about 5min, or take it to the last stop and back which is additional 10 min. Both options not ideal. I guess the best way is to walk from Chamonix Sud stop. Have fun in Chamonix. It’s a beautiful town with not so easy access to skiing. If you choose this property, you should be very happy with your stay. Oh, the staff is super friendly, and helpfully.

Small rooms so having 4 in a one bed room is tight. Bar in hotel would be good if usable and open longer. Room shower was at low angle meaning water went everywhere, one toilet yet only one sink wasn't ideal for family of 4.

It's a premium resort but that reflects in the premium price, especially on the slopes the where you pay in excess of 12 Euro for a beer or 25 for a simple bolognaise.

The restaurants in Chamonix are mostly of very high standard, some can be on the expensive side but every dining experience has been really good. Make sure to book in advance, especially the more famous restaurants can be booked out so you want to give it a couple days at a minimum.

Hot tub wasn't hot every time we went down. It was hot for a couple minutes and then got cold. Front desk should be open longer, 8am - 8pm didn't work for us. The bedrooms were really small, there werent any dressers or places to put our clothes away. The pillows were terrible. Our dishwasher smelled terribly, we didn't use it.

Everything was new, very clean. Great view, quiet. Had all the amenities needed. Modern. Fantastic location.

The heat management policy was not exactly our cup of tea. It was a little too cold for us and also for our friends, staying in the room below us. It will surely depend from guest to guest as to how warm you want to have your room so this is not a big -. The problem was taken care of after a talk with the front desk. The lights in the apartment could be a little brighter.

The hotel was great, we had everything we could want, the location was close to city center, steps away from the cable car Aguille de Midi. The rooms were spotless clean, more than decent size, sleep quality was good. The staff was helpful and nice. The fact that you have an in house spa, underground parking and ski lockers is a big bonus. We can only recommend Cristal de Jade for a great stay in Chamonix.

Avalanche mitigation was jarring to wake up to, but we understood it was necessary.

Skiing in Chamonix was my #1 bucket list item for many years. It was thrilling to be there in that spectacular setting, home of the first winter olympics. It is a winter sports enthusiast’s Disney World. The shops and restaurants around town are excellent, too.
