No lockers. 20 years ago, that's what one expected in a hostel. Now, lockers are standard at good hostels. No fridge.

Clean, with curtains and a good location--being close to the train station is probably much more important for most hostelstayers than being close to the castle, which is still within comfortable walking distance.

No soap in the room. The shower pressure is bit small. The air conditioner is not strong enough. No kitchen, no microwave.

No soap in dorm bathroom. No access to hot water for tea/coffee, no fridge, no kitchen - not really a hostel (?!) Dorm room dirty - left rubbish in lockers, rubbish and water down side of bed.

Lack of secure luggage storage and I couldn’t figure out how to securely lock the lockers within the dorms despite bringing my own padlock (I was probably being a numpty)

It felt like a hotel but with dorms. Nice decor, excellent location, nice food.

Discount at the bar/restaurant would have been nice; luggage room was just an unused part of the restaurant and not in a locked room but was fine; there was no common room/lounge and so the only place outside the room to chill was the bar/restaurant

Bar/Restaurant on the ground floor was great; lovely old building well preserved; clean and comfortable rooms with a range of facilities to a good standard; friendly and helpful staff (arranged a taxi to the airport); central location; would stay at again

Beds are short, no shelves to leave small stuff next to your bed, no light near your sleeping place. Also small for 4 person's

I was moved from a four bed dorm to a six-bed dorm but there were only four lockers for the six beds. Make sure you bring your soap and towels, they are not provided. The cigarette smoke from the bar went into the open window in the dorm.

came back to the place after 11 pm and the front door was closed, a local pointed to the side door that opens with the key card so that wasn't explained well and freaked me out because we were outside in the rain and nobody answered the phone call. Also, the area was closed and we couldn't have drinks in the evening after 11ish

It was a clean, quiet place, received the food recommendations, gave a small lock that fit in, left things before the check-in and it was kept at the back of the building. Washrooms were outside and it was quiet.

I made a request for a lower bunk on booking, but was given an upper one, even though I was only sharing a six bed room with one other person... I ended up taking a lower one anyway to not bother my roommate after hours. Ideally they could install privacy curtains, as the metallic bunk bed frames could easily accommodate them, and a shelf for personal items would be ideal too, especially for a charging phone, glasses, etc.

Excellent location in the city, a short walk from the train station, and a pleasant 15/20 mins walk to the old bridge and medieval city. The whole building is nicely decked out, the restaurant/bar is really appealing and has a sophisticated atmosphere not typical for a hostel. The bedrooms are on the smaller side for six people, but spotlessly clean and with comfy beds. The under bed lockers are a good size, and took my large backpack with no problems (own padlock required, as standard). Special mention to the staff, who were among the most engaging and friendliest I've met and chatted with on the road. Leaving my backpack after checkout was allowed, but not in a protected or secure place. Merci beaucoup.

There is no place to hang clothes in the bathroom. Also, the soap dispenser was empty and wasn't filled even after requesting. Food options are scarce, so you'll need to rely on the cafes & restaurants at Place Carnot.

The neighborhood is a bit congested but the hostel is within walking distance from all places - the train station, Flixbis' stop, and also the city center where all kinds of cafes, restaurants & other shops are available. You could also walk to Pont Neuf, Pont Vieux, and the castle. Full points on cleanliness too.

No soap or towels (not even for drying your hands). I've stayed at hostels in capital Citys around Europe, where these things were included and the price of the stay a third of the price. That being said, I would definitely chose this hostel again, unless a cheaper option were available.

Fantastic location! A 15-20 minute walk from the old medieval town / castle. The staff was nice, rooms were clean and comfortable.

The room ended up being very stuffy with 4 people and there was no way to open the windows to get fresh air in.

This place is in a great location and it was very clean. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Room was overall clean but they clearly don't vacuum under the bed and it kind of smelled like inside a bathroom when we first entered so we had to ventilate for while. The hotel is close to the station but pretty far by walk from the fortified city (20min). It makes a good walk but it is to consider if you prefer to be close to main touristic attractions. It is a hostel so minimal amenities and no kettle for boiling water.

We booked a private room with private bathroom. The room was spacious (I think it was a barrier-free one) and comfortable in general. It was not too far from the station and a shopping street. There is a direct access to the rooftop from the 2nd floor where we were (unfortunately it wasn't an open day for the bar but it was still opened to have a look). It was pretty calm since it was in the middle of the week so if you want to enjoy the tapas and like it a bit more lively better come on weekends. All in all good value for money.

I honestly do not know why nice hostels, like this try to save money on the heating. Honestly a mistery to me, because - specially in a case of a hostel - you do not need much - a warm bed and some clean water. The breakfast was in a cafe not far, but they did not really had anything for my taste (it offered that kind of general french breakfast, which is croissant with different fruits or jams), so I went literally the next place, where i could have a great omelette. I gave 7 because of the cold. In summer it is probably a 10 :D

It is a nice building, we had a spacious room, nice hostel generally.
