Very smart, small and comfortable hotel, fantastic location in the town centre, valet parking is a real bonus, staff were very good to us, dog friendly, easy access from the motorway, highly recommended

Well: firstly, booking via booking.com resulted in us paying Euro 70 more for the room than if we had booked direct (which is not easy as its web site is buried beneath all the other booking agencies). The Cep appears to operate as a number of profit centres : for example the main restaurant is an entitely separate entity and the Spa is only responsive to direct communications and bookings. This proved almost impossible to organise via the Booking.com messaging service. Be prepared also for the oddities of this old Grand Hotel: the plugs in the rooms appear to be of an earlier generation of electrical fitting. The only concession to modernity was a "tablet" in the room through which everything was held out to be possible: but ours was stone dead and could not be revived! It took 40 mins to get a boiled egg out of the chef at breakfast. I suspect that might have been beneath his culinary dignity! The air condioning is only responsive to a cenralised setting of warm or cold: as it had been very cool the week earlier it was set on warm and as it had turned hot by the time we arrived it could not operate to cool the room!

This is a Grand Hotel in every sense with the usual idiocyncracies. Wonderful locationand veryhelpful reception. The restaurant food and service also good.

The hotel is wonderful. The staff were ever so helpful. They were welcoming and attentive as we pulled up outside the hotel and right the way through our stay. We also got an unexpected upgrade to our room which was unbelievable.

Unfortunately the on-site restaurant was closed on the 2 evenings of our stay, but the hotel staff arranged reservations at two excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

The only downside was taking a large key with you for the room.

The location was very convenient and walkable to the town of Beaune. It was surprisingly quiet street at night. We ordered breakfast to the room, and it was delivered so quick and very delicious! We got upgraded and greatly enjoyed the spacious suite. The rooms are traditional, but beautiful. The entire hotel is beautiful.

No air conditioning, the room was beautiful but to warm and we were there for a sunny weekend in May. Reception staff were good. Breakfast and bar staff were not good at all. Breakfast was chaotic and staff very unhelpful. Even simple requests like another cup of coffee was difficult, hard to find someone to ask and then when staff found they made it seem like too much trouble.

We had some inconveniences with the old toilet pipes, but it was very quickly fixed. The prices at the bar and restaurant and a bit overpriced.

Location is perfect and very convenient in the busy Beaune especially if you have a car, there is private parking. The staff was nice and fixed all the little issues we had with our room immediately. The towels are extremely soft. The shower is nice and they also have a very nice cosmetic and body cream in the room. Both inside and outside breakfast options are beautiful locations. The hotel guest areas are beautifully decorated.

They lied about a work out room.it was on the top of a tower. Step were ancient, macnines were never dusted, spiderwebs. The toliet room in our bathroom was to small for me to close the door. No air condit oning, no restaurant at the hotel. Couldnt use the wine cellar, they advertise. Not 5 stars.

The staff was excellant. Nice breakfast buffet.

Great location in centre Beaune. Old charm hotel. Staff is nice and create a great atmosphere. Hotel would do good with a little bit of refreshment. Next time we go to Beaune we will return.

Selection at breakfast was too limited and poor availability. You had to book a space at the pool in advance!

Hotel le Cep is charming and in a great location close to the centre of Beaune. The building is old and beautifully kept with loads of character and antique furnishings. The stairs are quite steep, but there is a lift. The reception staff are very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.
