Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRestaurant food was delicious however the menu was limited, which is typical of French restaurants but the menu was for one week so there wasn’t a lot of choice if you wanted to eat at the restaurant more than a couple of times.

For us it was the perfect location, a pleasant walk to St Paul de Vence, to the wonderful Fondation Maeght museum, and also the charming town of Vence above. It gave many opportunities to walk through old neighborhoods in the hills, where we were greeted by friendly locals. The staff and facilities were wonderful and we were very happy to be able to play tennis. Breakfast was delicious and thankfully offered eggs and bacon. Bed was comfortable and there was no noise. Bathroom nice and has shelf spaces. We could easily take Uber to Nice where we rented bikes to go to Eze and St Jean Cap Ferrat.

United KingdomNot one single English Chanel on the tv not even the news - would have been nice to relax in room with something we could understand, the bathroom floor could have been a lot cleaner - found a small plastic vanity bag on the floor - didn’t touch it and asked reception to get it removed which was promptly done but other bits of dust etc remained there for a couple of days . The window facing the main staircase on the first floor was filthy with cobwebs which I couldn’t understand as the rest were clean and this one is in full view - such a shame
The setting was lovely, staff friendly

AustriaApart from the fact that the expected luxury was lacking, it should be noted that the building structure of the house is a bit old. In addition, the hotel is very remote; primarily intended for guests who want to spend their vacation here. The single beds are rather narrow (80 cm).
The room was fine, but not exceptional in terms of size or amenities, even though it is a deluxe room. Beds were very good. Towels and toiletries were good. Breakfast is very good. The pool is very nice, and the loungers in the pool area are nice too. The staff at the reception are really very friendly, courteous and helpful! Late arrivals are no problem!

China- A bit pricy considering the overall condition of this property - AC/ventilation not working - Internet: The cellular signal in the property is extremely bad, and the public WiFi at the property is fairly bad as well..
- Location: It's located in the mountain, so very close to the nature. There are plenty of routes for hiking. - Friendly staff - Private parking

United KingdomAlthough the restaurant was a good standard of “fine dining” they need to accommodate for families staying longer periods with a more “brasserie style” not everyone wants a foie gras starter or a salt baked bass for two weeks as nice as it maybe, the chefs ego needs to be more focused on the people paying to stay and eat there not his accolade achievements
Superb fresh seasonal buffet something for everyone, exceptional coffee

United StatesThe bathroom has a small top glass window overlooking the room and takes out a bit of privacy. The hotel had some minor maintenance issues, like peeling paint and some marks on the walls in the hallway or ceilings outdoors. Pool did not seem so clean, had some wall marks with mold, and strong chlorine smell.
Great comfortable rooms, for families they offer connecting rooms. Service was excellent! Breakfast looked great!

The hotel was at a very low occupancy on the night we stayed . It was very quiet (a bonus for us!). The pool and the garden were well maintained. Room was OK. On-site restaurant was one of the reasons we chose this place. Dinner was amazing! food, wine, atmosphere, and service were not less then perfect (and we didn't have to drive anywhere afterwards). Thank you!

United KingdomThe wardrobe was not very large or easy to access due to sliding doors
Food is fabulous. The hotel is a peaceful haven (we went at Easter). The service was very good. They couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. There are sculptures and other works of art throughout the hotel and gardens. We had a wonderful massage in the spa. The outdoor pool looks lovely but we didn’t swim. Our room has a balcony overlooking the gardens which was perfect for a relaxing stay. The sun was on our balcony in the morning. Perfect start to the day. A car is useful as it’s a fair stride or bike ride to St Paul de Vence - but worth it.

United Kingdomnothing much.. this is a nicely executed, reasonably priced 4 star hotel set in the hills of the french riviera half an hour above Antibes by car. Just so the reader is aware tho, this hotel is set in the hills and not in any of the towns or villages, so it is not easy walking distance to say, picturesce St. Paul de Vence, etc, but all those places are only moments away by car.
I like this hotel.. i've stayed here before and it is an enjoyable reasonably priced place to spend a few days in the hills of St Paul while exploring the area. Opt for a room w balcony / terrace tho, as the ground floor ones without might be described as a bit gloomy in comparison. Our room was bright, clean, modern, comfortable bedding, sufficiently spacious with a good size balcony with view. Bathroom is modern / functional and the hotel lobby area has kind of a mid century modern futuristic vibe, which is kind of cool. There is a great restaurant on site (dine on terrace) as well. You need a car for this place and there is plenty of parking in the hotel's gated parking lot

ItalyThe overall quality of the place seems to be slipping. The staff changes every year, and they seem to lack interest and attention. The service staff in the restaurant is not up to standard. The pool area is kind of abandoned and the daily cleaning of the rooms unreliable. Clearly overall management attention to detail and customers has gone down. Kind of sad.
We are loyal customers of the hotel since 2016, mainly due to the good location and the excellent chef in the restaurant.
