Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMain house rooms are quite dated and a bit shabby.
We were very lucky and one of our two rooms was upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment on the ramparts of the island - it was an adorable space and recently refurbished, so very clean and comfortable. The other room in the older building was less appealing - clean, but very dated and without much charm to speak of. We ended up all staying in the apartment together - if you have an opportunity to stay in that particular room, highly recommend!

AustraliaRenovation to reception severely impacted our stay. Access was to rooms was difficult staff gave conflicting direction re access. Internal access was restricted depending on the staff member. We were informed prior to our stay of the renovations but the impact was not made clear areas of the hotel were unavailable to us not just reception. Food in restaurant was excellent. When we dined in the hotel internal access was permitted but the next night it was restricted by staff rather accessibility. The hotel is tired and cleaning of common areas was ignored.
Location was great

United States of AmericaWe asked for 2 beds and only 1 option for a double bed, they offered to separate the beds but we would have to wait another hour. The family after us had the same problem but they accommodated them. . Our room was fine with the exception that there were workers who came in next to our door and were very loud at 7:00 am. The breakfast was included and we were told from 8:30 until 10:30. We arrived at 9:30 and the server told us that there was only what was left, which wasn’t much . Bread , coffee from a machine and a yoghurt. She wasn’t helpful and seemed irritated with us.
Location and comfortable bed.

AustraliaThe hotel is a little tired. This is to be expected when staying in an ancient, world heritage, cathedral town. Walking up and down the steps with luggage was a little tiring,
The location is simply perfect for a visit to Mont St. Michel. The price is reasonable in this context.

United KingdomRather pricey for what it is, we paid it because it is a once in a lifetime experience. Breakfast let it down slightly, only one member of staff clearing, allocating tàbles and replenishing the food.
The location was stunning, being able to experience Mon St Michelle at night when quiet was amazing

BrazilThe entrance to the Mont is Checkin time is very late (4PM). They'll let you leave your luggage in the reception but there are no bathrooms there, no place to change clothes or toilets, and overall there are VERY FEW options in the Mont. Therefore if you arrive early (e.g., by train, arriving 1PM), you'll either have to try at a restaurant (not easy), go to the disgusting free bathroom or pay 1 Euro to access a decent one. Breakfeast was no more then ok, there were very few and basic options compared to other hotels I stayed in at France, and the maitre was a little rude. Maybe its worth-it considering all of restaurants inside the Mont are very expensive, but I personally wouldn't include it in my reservation again. You'll have to carry your luggage through stairs and steep alleys no matter where you are hosted if you want to stay inside the Mont.
La Mere Poulard is probably the most traditional and antique hotel in the Mont. The room was big, and very clean, with a very nice view (even though my room option did not include it), great bed and nice hot shower as well. The heater in the bedroom and bathroom worked perfectly. All basic amenities were available, including coffee, tea, extra blankets and pillows. There was no water in the room, though we could get it for free in the reception (but you have to ask to the receptionist because they won't offer you). Its cozy, but simple, don't expect any luxury. The rooms location are very good (very close to the Mont's entry, what means a lot considering that in there you have to climb lots of staircases. The Receptionists were very polite and helpful and you can leave the luggage in the reception at any time, including after check-out. The Dinner option at La Mere Poulard (omelet) is very expensive (starting 42 euros) but is part of the experience of visiting the Mont if you want to. I personally really enjoyed my meal, though no omelet will ever be worth this price. However, notice that the if you make a reservation at their restaurant, there aren't plenty of alternative dishes, and all of them are expensive as well. Overall, the stay is a bit expensive for what it offers, compared to other locations in France and Paris, but is in line with other locations inside-Mont. It is absolutely worth it to stay inside if you want to experience the Mont without tons of tourists.

United States of AmericaPoor breakfast as part of demi-pension (breakfast is from 8 to 10 am but you have to be there by at least 9 am; otherwise they might run out of baguettes and milk, among other things). Room heater was a bit difficult to figure out. Expensive accommodation rates—but it’s on an island where the price of everything is inflated.
Very close to the main gate. Good view of the bay from the third floor. Decent, albeit somewhat limited, choices for dinner as part of Demi-pension.

GermanyCould hear loud footsteps above our room very late at night and again very early in the morning. Breakfast location was tricky to find without proper signs to help guide us. Had to ask several people where it was.
Room was large and had a separate room area for the children's bed. Bed was comfortable. Large bathtub. Very warm. Amazing view.
