Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesSerene. Vast deep vistas over the valley and surrounding mountains. Lovely new building. The two hosts were kind, accommodating, generous, nice to talk with. The dinner and breakfast services were both wonderful. What a chef! We were so happy here.

BelgiumThe accommodation is located in the small village of Llo at the French/Spanish border in the Pyrenees. Although it at first seems remote and very quiet, there are ample of touristic outings in the immediate vicinity, from Andorra, and beautiful hiking tours in the area to Mont Louis (a Vauban fortified town) and multiple ski slopes (in winter times) to a local natural warm water spa. (even Barcelona is not very far away). The house is a gorgeous restored and beautifully decorated cottage, with large windows to view the mountain scenery. Rooms are immaculate clean with a large bathroom. The majority of the rooms have a balcony. Guests are pampered by Toni from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. You will enjoy a perfect breakfast and optional delicious dinner prepared by a professional Chef (Miquel). A unique concept is the large breakfast/dining room table which brings the guests together. This accommodation was far beyond expectation and well deserves a 10/10 thanks to the commitment of its hosts.

SpainAmazing rustic/mountain cottage design, a pleasure to stay around. Great mountain and valley view, serene and completely silent with no buzz from the roads, electric appliances, ventilation or machinery (a huge relief for busy minds). There was direct garden access from the room, nice to relax in chaise lounges and enjoy the sunsets. Dogs are welcome! Amazing breakfasts served with style, especially yummy yoghurts, eggs, coffee, croissants, cheese and more - all at your request and served specially for you. The hosts are super friendly, there’s a home-like atmosphere, a warmest stay!

United Kingdomnothing that I can think of.
This is a lovely place in a lovely setting, and is exceptional for a Chambres d´Hôtes in providing a really good evening meal prepared by our 2 hosts Tony and Miguel. Llo is a bit out of the way, but worth the drive if you are exploring the Pyrenees, and the view from the terrace, bedrooms and upper rooms of the valley and Llivia beyond are superb. The bedrooms have all recently been renovated to a very high standard. The garden and areas near the property are suitable for a large dog.

SpainEverything was perfect!
The house is full of charm and has unbeatable views of the mountains Cadí and Carlit. The breakfast and dinner spread was some of the best I’ve had in a guesthouse and the hospitality incomparable. Toni and Miguel are amazing hosts who truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, comfortable and well-fed. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

AustraliaThe narrow lane to the property was initially daunting but proved to be no problem.
Yannick and his wife were the perfect hosts. Friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. One day they gave us a suggested itinerary in writing which was perfect. Their dogs are a joy and the property is beautifully situated with unparalleled views. Bliss!

United KingdomThis is the reason I only give it 6. Two of the things that attracted me to the property were "room with a view" and the room has a "dining area". Neither of these things existed in room I had at the back of the property. I didn't complain but when I left I pointed out this inaccuracy in how the room was advertised. The owner showed no concern and seemed pretty put out that I mentioned it. If you get this room and write a review perhaps you could confirm what I am saying. The owners need to understand that misleading descriptions are not acceptable.
Comfortable bed. Good dinner
