There were a few things amiss in the room. The room was underwhelming for this caliber hotel. The magnifying makeup mirror batteries rundown. Both toilet and bathroom doors squeaking loudly. The safe not working. The coffee machine had stale leftover water from the previous visitor.

The hotel is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but the staff is extremely rude and arrogant. We will not come back to this hotel and restaurant The room was not cleaned good, and after we said it to the reception, at our return at night it was still not cleaned good, the dead body of a bird stayed on our terrace for the entire stay. We reserved parking and we arrive and there was no place (it was enough to make people park better, there was space for 2 more cars). They asked us if we wanted to reserve at the Michelin restaurant; and we said yes, when we arrived the reception said “oh we give the table away”. We reserved for dinner arrived at checkin at +\- 13:00 when they give us all the beautiful news. This is not a 5 star hotel is a 2/3 star hotel with over a mask of a 5 star. We will not be back to this hotel and do not recommend it. Staying in Ibis or in this hotel is the same except for the price. There was light all night coning in the room and made it impossible to sleep. Thanks good i reserved the rest of our holiday in Strasburgo and stayed only 1 night in this hotel.

Room was unusual. Small living area downstairs w/ spiral staircase to a small bedroom upstairs. No shower- only bathtub.

we stayed in a Hot third floor room under the roof. At midnight it was impossible to turn the airco on. I asked if they could have a look at it and solve the problem. I was astonished about the reply: “because of ecologic reasons it was the hotels policy to turn of the airco at night” It was the owners decision and he was not able to speak with us. Dirty room, insects, maintenance not up to date, curtains with holes in it.

the location is very good. that is the only positive thing.

The internet was TERRIBLE and we talked to the front desk many times about it. A hotel this expensive should have been better for guest services.

while most were very helpful, the manager/one of the senior stuff was fairly unpleasant and rude. though we did not understand French, her body language towards us during our stay was unpleasant

the staff especially the receptionist, we had an incident where they went through our bags, invading our privacy and took off the bedsheets to force a checkout without coming to inform us. Imagine walking to your room and seeing your stuff outside on the floor and when we reported the incident to the reception the lady just laughed! I couldn't imagine that a place this beautiful have staff like this who made us feel unwelcome !

Bistro was closed for supper and they recommended a naff ghastly touristy restaurant for supper but we found a fabulous typical french proper bistro round the corner which was fantastic

The location was good in the middle of the old city

We did not have a proper shower in the room, for the 2 nights we stayed the air conditioning was switched off in the middle of the night (I heard other people complaining as well) and worked again in the morning, the breakfast service was slow and could be improved, the beautiful courtyard was not used and with dirty tables. Too many faults for a 5 star hotel

Very kind and nice staff not only they have a big smile, but they also do their best to put a smile on their customers' face. The hotel has the perfect location and is one of the historical buildings itself which was very nicely renovated to keep the original ambiance. Also the both restaurants are really good.
