Beautiful property, lovely ground, great restaurant. Very tranquil.

We arrived on Christmas day after 1 day of the hotel being closed and found the rooms a bit less "well appointed" than expected for a 4 star hotel. There were no vanity kits in the bathroom, no way to make coffee and the kettle needed to be taken to be bathroom to be plugged in bec the plugs were not accessible in the room unless we put the kettle on the floor. Lighting in the room was atrocious with these spotlights that were very hard to move. The WC area could have used a tad more dusting and cobweb cleaning and the whole room smelled a bit mouldy. Bedding was NOT what one would expect from a 4 star hotel, with clumpy pillows and somewhat underwhelming linens.

Splendid location, literally on the beach with impressive views of the Le Havre port and in the middle of some wonderful grounds. The breakfast area can be used to have a coffee and a read and they also have a more intimate "library" area where one can play board games or do some work. The gym is absolutely amazing, all technogym machines and really well laid out. Good, fresh breakfast, a wonderful deck overlooking the beach to have your coffees on. Honfleur is a short drive away or a 40 min walk on the beach. The location is very very quiet, pet friendly and very scenic.

There was a big problem with mosquitoes which they had not had before. We could have used some mosquito spray but they didn't have any. It was fine, but they knew of the problem so they might have got some spray in.

Reception was not that friendly and we weren’t made to feel welcome once we explained we wanted to go in to Honfleur rather than eat at the restaurant. No bar facility open unless restaurant is which was disappointing as couldn’t get a drink after a long day travelling.

Location - though it’s too far to walk anywhere and the grounds are tired and not like the photos any more.

it’s worst place, receptionist named Gabrielle is horrible, she lies, we got there on 10/19th with confirmation, she said she doesn’t have our reservation, even she confirmed with me twice with the date of check as 10/19th. She blamed on booking.com, she ruined our vacation. You should remove the property from your list, it’s horrible.

paying for the pool

the hotel is beautiful and in a lovely location with a nice walk along the beach to Honfleur. Paying for the pool is a little disappointing, it’s only very small so we didn’t feel the need to use it. We only had breakfast there once, choice was small but still nice. The main issue we had was 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed, we were kept awake by a crying baby in the adjacent room. I’m sure when I booked it was stated it was adult only. I would make a return visit, and hope for quieter neighbours!

absolutely everything was over priced €400 and the didn’t even have a mini bar. then there are so many charges in top of this. the pool was €25 for 1 hour. there was a lot of work going on around the property and paths were slippery. good and drink was elaborate but extremely expensive. €5 for 1 coke. the menu was only in French and no members of staff couldn’t translate. so I ended up paying for a lot of food I really didn’t like. the room was so basic and had no bathtub. no English Channels on the tv, not even the news was not told anything about lunch and only had 5 minute to chose and eat

So many details are not at the level you would expect for the price and and the rating of the place. First the cats ... if you read advices you sill see that they are the real master of the breakfast area. In the room we noticed on arrival an electrical problem in the bathroom but nothing was repaired during our stay despite electrical cable was just out in the bathroom. It lacks of maintenance in many details (The chairs have disappeared from the pool) Forget about the foto. And in the staf (global nice) there are one or two which might change of job and understand what is expected from a place which pretend luxury ...

The bed sheet in linen was just great. Surroundings are very nice and it has all to be a peaceful place. Charming place between Honfleur and Danville. Astonishing view of the Seine getting to the sea
