Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNeeded a little loving attention.. especially outside. The walls were a bit thin .. could hear other guests.
The concierge was such a pleasant man .. he made the somewhat shabby building not so important. Good shower , decent room .. easy location.

GermanyThe kitchen is only poorly equipped with a camping table, 2 camping chairs and very few cutlery, dishes, pots... The stairwell is unsightly and steep (no lift). The walk to the historic city center is nice over a huge footbridge but exhausting because of many stairs.
The HR hotel is centrally located, within 15-20 minutes walking distance to the historic city center with many restaurants. To the supermarket as well as to a bakery you walk only 5 minutes and to the train station 10 minutes. Nevertheless, it is very quiet at night. In the hotel there are rooms as well as apartments provided. The apartments have a separate bedroom with a desk, a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower or a bath tub and a separate toilet. Towels and bed linen are included in the price. The furnishings, especially in the kitchen are basic but functional, not new but all clean. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee machine. The hotel offers a coin washing machine, a garden with swimmingpool, free car parking. Buffet breakfast is available in the breakfast room. The staff is very fliendly.

Netherlands1) The main bed was too short (sorry people over 1.90m) & the mattress had seen better days: it was like sleeping in a pit. It made you roll back into the middle. Not very comfortable. 2) The swimming pool was closed. This was not mentioned during the booking process... 3) I didn't see any fire/smoke detectors in the room...
The room was clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was fine, although would be nice to have something hearty instead of only sweet options. The location was great, less than 5 min walk from the train station. The bathroom was tiny & boatlike, but clean & the shower was great! The kitchenette was perfect for our needs.

EstoniaOur room had a fan, but no aircon, which would have been very useful to cool the room down a bit after the daily heat, esp. as opening the windows in the evening let in mosquitos. The bathroom was a bit strange, as it looked like something out of a train rather than a hotel room. Neither our room nor those of our friends had any toilet paper when we first checked in and when asking for it at the desk, they only gave you max 1 roll at a time and you always had to ask since they were never restocked by the cleaning grew (even for our friends who stayed for 5 nights!). I get that this is a "budget" accommodation, but I find such miserliness a bit over the top. By the look of it, this toilet paper anyway seemed like it couldn't cost more than 5 cents a roll, it's not like it's going to make or break the yearly profit...
The price was fairly cheap for Corisca in the summer (as you would expect from a 2 star hotel) and it was pretty neat that for this price you could have a pool (even if a slightly overcrowded one). Location was ok. About a 10 minute walk to the old town and on the opposite direction there was a large supermarket (the largest I saw in all of Corisca). There's also plenty of free parking around.

United KingdomOur bathroom was one of those prefabricated plastic or fibreglass units that are tiny and slot into place whilst being constructed. V little ventilation. Our friends bathroom was much better they had a little flat and we had a v spacious studio for 3.
Great accommodation, dated but v spacious and amazing location. We loved it.

United States of AmericaNo Ac and the fan in the room is not really doing much. It’s nothing to really talk about- the bathroom is tiny- no ventilation at all.. We stayed for 10€ more about 20 min away the night before and it was incredible! We thought we would do some hiking but it was so hot, we spent all our time on the beaches. The bathroom has an ashtray in the sink 😵💫
Super close to to town, very nice staff, free parking. it’s a pretty lawn to hang out and eat. Fridge to cool down your water or food!

SwedenAnts (No elevator if you are elderly, but no problem for me)
I know that some guests rate this as a basic hotel but I was satisfied! View of a garden and a pool (that was empty every time I went to take a swim) was great and you wouldn’t find a place for the money I paid (almost the same price as a shared room in a hostel in Nice). Small kitchen with fridge allows you to keep your cold drinks or whatever. The location is perfectly close to a train station and yet not that far from the centre (ca 10 minute walk). The view of the surrounding mountains from the window. Yes, the shower was tiny, but nothing I would complain about, a small air-fan for the hot nights. Recommend the stay!

SwitzerlandCouldn't test the pool as it was still early in the season, the room was on the big side, but the bathroom was extremely small. Still functional but not confortable. Added bonus, there was a small kitchen in the room, which I didn't use, except for the fridge that allowed me to have cold drinks the next day.

United KingdomKitchen facilities were minimal, although other than our own breakfasts and sandwich lunches we didn't need to do any cooking. Wifi was intermittent. The shower was very small, yet clearly there is space there to increase the size to something more comfortable.
Two adequately sized double bedrooms with a large lounge and kitchenette area. A small balcony with table and chairs was great for breakfast eating. Corte itself is an interesting old town in the centre of the island surrounded by mountains, and great scenery. The town also had some great eating cafes and restaurants, plenty of choice.

United KingdomUnfortunately there were two older staff members (possibly owners or managers) who were a bit grumpy. We had a studio room with fridge, microwave, hob but absolutely no plates, cutlery or cooking equipment. We had to ask for these.
Younger members of staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and professional. Spoke good English.

Italythree buildings, very bad-looking. it’s an old complex that has many apartments, some are the “Hotel”. there is a pool, which is probably why they have stars. paying more than 100€/night for something like this is very bad value. sofa-bed was dirty and adults couldn’t sleep on it because it would break. bathroom is basically non-existent, stinky and not well maintained.
