We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The member of staff at the check-in desk (Jean-Francois) was extremely friendly and helpful, it made the experience a very welcoming and positive one. It was very close to the lake and the town centre so I could get everywhere on foot.

BelgiumThe parking could have been a bit better organised: the hotel would give you a discount and/or a ticket for free parking after 19h. However, you could only get the ticket after checking in, meaning you first had to park somewhere else. Additionally, they only have discounts for certain parkings, so could have told us beforehand which ones they were. Because we were too tired to move our car, we decided to leave it at Parking Courier, luckily it was not that expensive! (around €6 for a whole night and morning)
We had a very comfortable stay at Hôtel du Nord, the room was very clean and nicely decorated & the bathroom was also very modern. The receptionist is super friendly and there is also an elevator available. Additionally, the hotel is located very centrally.

CanadaThe only thing that would be nice would be a little warning about parking prior to arrival (i.e. you can park your car in front for 5 minutes while we get you your parking pass). The Hotel is very organized and it only takes them about 1 minute to explain the parking to you, but we didn't know (at first) that we could stop the car in front.
Very nice staff with 24-hour service at the reception. Excellent value breakfast, especially with young children who have free breakfast when their parents purchase it. Great central location, everything walking distance. We had the "family suite" which had two large beds, AC, ensuite bathroom and TV, really great for travel with kids. The option for the private parking at 10euros/day is a really good deal, especially that the parking is only about 100m away.

United KingdomA bird pinched a chocolate bar overnight, leaving only the wrapper! My fault for leaving near the window with the window open. Struggled to get hot water on 3rd morning.
Handy for station. 3 minute walk to canal. 10 minute walk to the lake. Old fashioned hotel where you have to hand your key in each time you go out. Charming. Annecy has free bikes for hire (as long as you return before 30 mins to one of the stations). Annecy has free buses in July & August which run every 20 minutes to the beaches around the lake.

FranceWe moved from one room to another for more space as we had a small dog. Both rooms were comfortable, clean and elegantly designed. But, things that should be improved 1. at least one of the anglophone TV channels should be available 2. the shower in room 30 is tiny, but doable for a regular sized person. 3. the shower in room 1 is over the deep bath but there are NO grab bars. It is actually quite dangerous. 4. Breakfast was good, everything you could want but it would be so appreciated to have at least one hot item, scrambled eggs, maybe?
