Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeWater was not refilled daily to the room, which is fine because tap water is drinkable but we were provided a bottle on the first day so I thought it would be refilled
The property is located a short drive outside of the main city which makes for a very peaceful place to rest. Our room was spacious and very clean, with the toilet and bath separated into two areas. My favourite feature was the bathtub which provided the opportunity for two lovely soaks. Breakfast was great as well - continental style with cold meats, cheeses, yogurt, spreads and croissants and baguette. A 45min drive away from Long St Michel. I would definitely return here to stay!

We had a very warm welcome from Fabrice & nothing was too much trouble. Due to the timing of our Condor ferry to Jersey, we had to leave the property at 6.30. As we were too early for breakfast, Fabrice kindly provided a cool bag with yoghurts, madeleines & small cartons of fruit juice - all much appreciated. The room was very tastefully decorated & clean. Perhaps most importantly, the bed was extremely comfortable. Fabrice recommended a couple of nearby restaurants . We ate at Collette where both the food & the view were fabulous.

United KingdomNothing at all of any real importance. The only possible suggestions would be to do with the tea tray in the room. It would have been lovely to have had more than one English Breakfast teabag, as there were two of us, and the kettle didn't pour very well. Those are minor things, though. We loved it here, and will definitely be back!
Stunning location, out in the countryside yet only fifteen minutes away from the ferry terminal. Beautiful room with gorgeous views, and spotlessly clean, too. Very friendly and helpful welcome! We were tired after a full day's drive through France, and the managers offered to book us a table at a local (excellent, as it turned out) pizzeria, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast was wonderful, with plentiful local produce, and with lovely views over the beautiful walled garden.

CanadaAlthough I knew the room didn't have a small fridge at the time of booking, it would have been a nice feature in the room. Alternatively, it would have been convenient if they could offer access to a fridge in the kitchen or dining room to keep a few things cold like drinks or leftovers.
The property has been beautifully restored both outside and inside. The breakfast room is lovely and bright same as the room. The staff was very helpful. What I want to commend them on is that they had sheets and blankets on the bed and not only a duvet which seems to be the new trend in rooms across Europe. So that was very nice.

United KingdomWe stayed for 4 nights and in that time, our room or en suite was never cleaned. We found that strange as we have been used to our rooms being cleaned daily in every other place we have stayed. Our sat nav was unable to find the property. As a result we spent over an hour lost. Our friends had Google earth, found it on that and came to help us.
The old building was beautiful and the room was excellent. Very nicely decorated, full of character and charm Breakfast was simple, not much choice but what was provided was excellent quality. Plenty of room to park and very quiet position. The managers were very friendly and helpful, giving us suggestions of places to visit and eat.

Everything!! The room was exquisite! The bed was very comfortable. The view outside our room was picturesque and peaceful! We could sit outside and enjoy the beauty. The innkeepers, Christophe & Sylvie could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. They were warm and delightful. The bathroom was spotless and spacious. The breakfast was wonderful. My husband loved the artisan jams and yogurt. I loved the cheeses, baguettes and fresh fruit. Coffee, tea, and juice were Al add o offered. The dining room overlocked the lovely backyard surrounded by quaint stone walls. It was perfect!! The innkeepers helped us arrange taxi rides when we had done issues arise with our ferry arrival time. They were lifesavers! Much appreciated. Cannot wait to visit there again💜

United KingdomThe room was beautiful. The towels were rather tired, one had a run in it. The bedspread was lovely but had a couple of small darns. I felt the grounds let the place down a little. They could have been lovely but were rather unkept. I had a lovely little terrace but the dwarf wall round the terrace was full of weeds. These small criticisms did not detract from my stay . I would definitely stay there again.
Breakfast was very good. Very fresh bread, local butter, cold meats, local cheese, local yoghurts, good croissants, orange juice, tea or coffee.

United KingdomSadly it seems that the landlord won't hire an extra person to allow the hosts to rest one or two days a week, meaning the hosts currently work 7 days a week April to November - this is insane. This means they will retire at the end of the year to finally get some free (well deserved) time, and the landlord will probably lose what was an impeccable and amazing service from two passionate people. Short sighted!
Decoration and comfort of the room, space, views on the countryside and breakfast were amazing, but what exceeded our expectations was the warm welcome and availability of the hosts, a lovely couple. They obviously care about this place and this is reflected in their attention to detail, kindness and the personalised tips they give to the guests.
