Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PolandThe air conditioning didn't work. The hotel (rooms) needs to be "refreshed" and renovated. Difficulties in parking the car upon arrival (there is no parking space in front of the hotel, access to the internal parking is troublesome and time-consuming).
Tasty and varied breakfasts. The hotel restaurant also serves tasty dinners. Very interesting solution was applied in the hotel for "self-service coffee, vine, beer, etc." based on trust between the guest and the hotel.

JapanA bit dated and overused corridor, old and noisy elevator- i was living on 2nd floor and would have been using stairs, but they were not accessible. Some of the neighbors had their lock stuck and it took some effort for the staff to break the door to enter, not well maintained locks?! Bad soundproofing, you can hear all your neighbors.

United KingdomNo staff or public facilities on a weekend. It was a challenge to find anything local when we arrived late Sunday afternoon and there is no one to advise you, although, once in the building, the check in was smooth. Do your research if you are going to be here over the weekend.
