To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SwedenSliding door to the bathroom so make sure you are comfortable with whomever you are sharing a room. The room key cards kept de-magnetising so we had do get them fixed almost once a day, it was easy and quick though.
I absolutely loved the area and our street. Cafés, restaurants and some shops just outside the door so we didn't have to walk far for breakfast or an evening drink. Bus stops and Metro was super close! We had a room facing the street which I loved, but it it a lively street so be prepared for noise.

What a pleasant surprise to finally locate the hotel and find it is a permanent exhibition for Banksy. Yes the room was small but pleasant enough, breakfast was included and although there were no tea making facilities in the room the staff were happy to make us tea at any time from the breakfast kitchenette.

NetherlandsThe location was perfect! Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from within 3 min walking distance. A cheap and good fruit market across the hotel and a supermarket nearby. In terms of facilities, the bed was quite comfortable and could get a good rest after walking the entire day and we also appreciated the fact that the bed was done every day and that the towels were changed too.

Ukraine- it smelled bad after I opened the window, but you know… Paris - a bit expensive, good I had a discount like €20-30 - only one socket
- good location, only 10-15 mins to the city centre on metro - stuff is helpful - the property replies quickly on the app if you ask them anything - no extra fees for the late check in ( after midnight) - clean - many cafes and shops just in from of the hotel and in its neighbourhood

The hotel was in a great location in the middle of the Montmartre district, which comes alive at night with bars and cafes. It is within walking distance of the Louvre and many other attractions, as well as being bang next door to the (surprisingly good) Banksy museum The room was small (but what do you expect from a budget hotel in Paris), clean and with a very comfortable bed

United KingdomThere is nothing to complain about. The room and amenities were small and compact but it was expected and normal for Paris and the hotel of such classes. The same about the noise level - you don't expect quiet surroundings in the centre of Paris. I believe there is always an option to request a room with windows looking into the internal courtyard.
Great value for money. The team kindly upgraded the initial booking and I managed to check-in earlier than planned. Central and convenient location. Friendly and helpful English-speaking staff. No fuss check-in.

CanadaAlthough we got a deluxe room, it was quite small —not much space, a basic double bed and a small (but functional bathroom). There’s also no air circulation in the room, nor fan in the bathroom: we had to open up windows to get the post-shower humidity out. It’s fine for a night or two, but I would not recommend for an extended stay as we had.
The hotel is set in a fantastic location: near amenities, close to 3 metro stations, lots of restaurants and bakeries. Staff was super helpful and pleasant to chat with. Room was clean.
