Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeLarge electric power lines around the hotel.
Independent semi-detached house located in the middle of the pine trees. Breakfast is served as a buffet with lots of choices. The swimming pool is large and the area around it is spacious. There is also a tennis table.

United KingdomThe hotel is dated but the room was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom had been recently renovated. There wasn't a lift and I had heavy baggage but the man that checked me in helped carry my bags.
I booked this hotel last minute after my car broke down in the middle of the night. Staff were friendly and helpful. After a walk (over an hour) into Salon and Uber back, I had a lovely afternoon alone by the pool. The hotel is dated but grounds are beautiful.

United KingdomEven though it is close to the A7 motorway there is no slip road nearby so a little difficult to access the property. There is some humming from the motorway outside but once in our room we didn’t notice this. We also thought the room was rather expensive compared to other similar places we have stayed.
The room was fine and much like all Best Western hotel rooms - clean and serviceable, and ideal for a stopover stay. The position was unusual - on one side, it is adjacent to an electricity power station with lots of pylons going out in all directions but luckily barely noticeable once in hotel grounds, and very close to A7 motorway. However to the other side of the hotel was wonderful countryside and numerous walking and cycling tracks! There is also a great restaurant in an attractive restored old barn right next to the main building.

United KingdomAccess wasn’t easy with a lot of steps and no lift. Breakfast was okay but fresh fruit would have been nice.
A pleasant, value for money option near Salon de Provence. The rooms are fairly basic but comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were set in a lovely garden and dinner was excellent.

Location was kind of in a forest. A bit remote. So if you are reaching late, it feels quite secluded. It can be good or bad depending upon your preference. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable stay.

FranceNothing much not to like, especially that the staff was extremely pleasant. If we have to be picky we'd say the snooker was faulty and the baby-foot not in a good state. But frankly, that's really making a fuss!
A lovely setting under the trees. We stayed in a little house with full amenities, a spacious room and a pleasant terrace. Fresh bottles of water left every day by the cleaning person was the nice touch. A lovely breakfast buffet was waiting for us every morning in the restaurant with all you wish for. The restaurant serves extremely good food and the price is reasonable. We came in February under the cold and it was perfect. We can only imagine how it must be like in spring or autumn. We also came with our dog who was welcome and had a great time!

CanadaVERY IMPORTANT : When entering/exiting the room, the door does not shut. You have to use the magnetic card to shut and lock the door from the inside/outside. No one told us. Room content could be stolen if customer forgets to watch the door close behind him/her. Same when you are inside! So, to shut the door after exiting, you have to use the magnetic card from the outside. And vice versa, To shut the door after entering, you have to use the magnetic card from the inside. Crazy. In other words, the door does not fully shut (and lock) automatically. In the middle of the night, we realized our room door war one inch open. The automatic lights off in the hallway was a bit creepy.
The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was polite and helpful. Great value for 77 euros.

Germanyroad to the hotel can be complicated, meaning you always need a car and there are a few alternate roads (some very narrow). sometimes there is a poor or no cell signal and the WiFi doesn’t work well, a day or two shouldn’t be a problem but starting the 3rd day it was a problem.
staff is very friendly and accommodating. restaurant (good food, wine list … well,… it‘s France) breakfast (it‘s simple but well done) location is good, close to vineyards but you still need a car, close to avignon and arles. the pool. we got a house and not a room in the hotel ( but this was the hotel decision‘s) tennis court.
