The fact that shutters were missing on one of the windows. Also, it had not been properly secured and so when I got back to my room on the second evening, after a huge storm, the window had been blown open and I had a bit of a flood on the desk located under the window but I would say that was purely due to unusual weather conditions!

A lovely room with a nice bathroom, a comfy large bed and lovely people all around. Great breakfast too with a huge choice of cereals, breads, viennoiserie and more!

There was really nothing I could complain about. As I said, room, bathroom, shower (an amazing rain shower + hand held shower), breakfast, staff were spot on!

A lovely room, nicely decorated, with a lovely bathroom and shower. It was quiet, the bed was really comfortable and there was also a working desk for end of day admin. There was a huge choice for breakfast and the staff could really not do enough to make my stay comfortable. A big thank you to the team and I shall see you again no doubt.

Stairs needed cleaning, room bathroom hand long hair behind the door and on floor, underneath the bed hadn't been cleaned in a long time. No tea/coffee facility in rooms.

Great quiet location near the centre, easy walking to lovely park and supermarket, bistros and cafe. Comfortable bed. Dual aspect room so good ventilation.

The hotel s bring refurbished so the entry way was like a building site. On the third floor where we stayed is was incredibly hot, even with a fan (heatwave though). likely needs air con. Shower and room very small. 4.30 check in is tough for very hot weather when we arrived earlier after cycling in a heatwave

I wish I'd been lucky enough to have been given one of the newly built and refurbished chalet rooms as I believe they are good and this review would probably have been completely different. Unfortunately, I had a small, old, tired, less than immaculate room on the 2nd floor of the main hotel. There was no Wi-Fi in my room (which is a crucial element for me on my solo trips, as I plan my next day each evening) and for this, I need internet. It would also mean I could have entertainment in a language I understood using my lap top, such as Netflix etc. but without Wi-Fi, not possible. The only area where the WiFi was good was in the public bar on the ground floor. The water pressure was variable, sometimes strong, sometimes no more than a dribble. And before whatever water comes out runs hot, the tap has to have been running for over 5 minutes (apparently due to the 2nd floor position and the distance the water has to travel to get there). The towels were old and thin, very disappointing. So in summary, if you stay here, keep your fingers crossed you will be lucky enough to be given one of the new rooms....

This is an exceptional hotel...from the friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and quirky/unique decor - to the very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. We arrived late from Spain so unfortunately we were unable to sample the restaurant - which had a fabulous layout...along with the bar. The exterior seating area was also great and very popular - with a great buzz of nightlife upon arrival! Safe and convenient parking was available just outside - no charge! Thank you Team Central.
