Slight smell from the bathroom

Excellent location in bustling pedestrian street full of restaurants and bars. Very helpful receptionist accomodating a third person, our son, in the room.

Nice staff and super convenient location, and very good price - hence very high grading as I just needed somewhere to sleep and wanted to spend money on other things. So the hotel elevator was too small for me as a claustrophobic person but stairs worked fine even to 5th floor. Clean room but worn down and small, with toilet and shower rooms separately, and old. Bedlinen super fresh and crispy clean and the bed was amazing: super comfortable madrass, pillow and duvet. I slept like a baby. No problem to leave suitcase by reception during the day.

Very minor things, which made no real difference to me. The door to the toilet (separate from the bathroom) did not close properly - but it was a single room and I was always alone, so this didn't matter. No hand soap was provided in the bathroom, but there were plenty of sachets of shower gel.

At all stages the staff were friendly and helpful. My small single room was clean and had everything I needed including access by lift, a hairdryer, a fridge, and peace and quiet (the window looked onto a courtyard). There was a kettle and coffee machine but I didn't use them as there were so many nice cafes on the street outside. The bathroom was very small but clean with a well-functioning shower. This is not a luxury hotel and it's not beautiful, but for the price it's great value. The location is central and good for transport links, in a lively area with loads of places to eat and drink.

Although shower was hot and powerful, the paint was peeling in the bathroom, but it didn't affect overall enjoyment of stay.

Very comfortable bed. Slept like a log. Staff were excellent , so friendly and did all they could to help. Excellent location, near to 4 metro stations. Lively area, lots of bars and restaurants. But all closed by midnight. Unique lift - not for the claustrophobic, but quick so manageable.

Nice twin bedroom at top floor with nice view of street. Near to two main stations - Nort and Est and metro (underground) stations. Plenty of café/bars, restaurants and small shops nearby. Friendly and kind staff, an interesting small lift to floors.

Within walking distance from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est the room provided our basic requirements for a one night stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and we would be happy to stay again. We were grateful to be able to leave our luggage on our day of departure so we could explore Paris without dragging our cases.

Everything was ok!

The nicest staff ever!! :) I really enjoyed my stay there - everything was super clean, they even cleaned my room after one night already. There was a mini fridge and a coffee/tea machine, hairdryer and towels, everything that I expect from a hotel. There are many restaurants and cafés nearby, the metro is also very close. Honestly I would definitely come back to this hotel. The only reason I'm giving a 9 and not a 10 is that the hotel probably needs a little bit of a renovation but it's not a big deal.

Comfortable, basic, adequate, hot showers! Excellent proprietor, charming, friendly, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even got us ice! Opposite an excellent Boulangerie and next door to a perfect Italian restaurant! 10 minutes walk from Gare de Nord and 20 minute walk from the Opera House, Hop on, hop off bus.

It was rather noisy at night because of many cafe's in the surrounding. There was Cockroach. This hotel need to have pest control.

The receptionist was very friendly. He spoke English fluently. The location is very good, only less than 500 m to go to Metro station. Around hotel, we can find some pattiseries. There is tiny elevator to go upstairs. Tiny but functional.

There were no electrical sockets close to the bed; it was slightly inconvenient.
