The room was average but lacked on amenities ( kettle, mug, coffee pods was charged extra) The pool water was freezing. It was far from amenities such as restaurants and supermarkets.

The castle and the property were beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very good. The golf staff was very helpful and the course was not busy, great place to learn to play golf. Most staff spoke English.

Absolutely fantastic building with a relaxed authentic atmosphere. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Swimming pool and golf both wonderful.

The room had crumbling paint work and the bathroom was a little tired. We didn’t have breakfast because we felt for €17 each it was overpriced and unappealing.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the location of our room was very peaceful. The dinner was very good and the choice and ambience was welcome.

If booking on .com, upgrade room. The basic room was not that nice, small and peeling paint ( I know its old , but) smaller bed. Upgrade much nicer.extra 30 euros per night. Extras ie coffee for the room is not free. Tea from the machine tastes like coffee, not nice. We tried to find a restaurant in the local town, impossible as everything was shut, frustrating. Pizza in France! Water x2 bottles from the golf shop 7 euros!

Amazing castle, needs a little work done. Breakfast lovely but over priced 17euro. Restaurant very good food, again pricy but delicious. Staff helpful, Chloe andEric. Room comfortable and lovely views over the golf course. Golf course challenging in places but really enjoyed it. Fridge in room helpful

Lobster did not seemed cooked.....it was mushy, rather than firm. It was also a quite small portion.

Breakfast was good, but eggs and meats were not kept warm enough.

. Little bit shabby / scruffy..garden pots uncared for etc We appreciate its a very old building but small details make a difference. Could be more up todate in decor and detail. We could also hear the antics of the couple staying next door!!

There were no directions to the chateau. We arrived in the village Courcelles-de-Touraine with no advice/directions to get to the chateau. We stopped at a junction and a Frenchman in a car nearby got out and asked us if we were looking for the chateau. He directed us. Had he not been there we would have gone to another chateau (la Valliere?).

The Chateau looks stunning like something out of a fairy tale. We had the most wonderful greeting on arrival and after dropping off our luggage to our room, my husband played a few holes of golf while I relaxed around the pool on a sunny afternoon. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and the food was delicious with the chef being very accommodating in making a small change to the choice of potatoes. The golf course is very interesting and pretty and we even had a stroll around a few holes after dinner one evening as it was very warm. Although there was no air conditioning in our bedroom the Chateau is cool inside and the fan supplied in the room kept us cool. It felt as if we were in the middle of nowhere and we didn't need to venture outside the grounds, so we have no idea if there was a village nearby, but we will definitely return next year and maybe venture out to see what else is in the area.

Great experience - beautiful place. Manager (Christian) was super friendly and we had a good experience staying with the small dog. Overall really enjoyed our experience. Good location, spacious room and comfortable stay.
