It is impossible to not like anything about this Chateau as it is as good as it gets.

The sheer quality of everything from facilities to the perfect hosts of Thierry and Ann-Marie sum up Chateau de Maraval. The room was superb and we loved the soft walk in shower tray. The spa was was fun and the breakfast was excellent. The common rooms for guests were stylish and comfortable.

Nothing to fault! Finding the Chateau, it is also referred to as Castle Maraval which is easier to find on Google maps

Host was very helpful; we arrived late and he immediately phones local restaurants to find a table for that evening. All facilities are of a very high standard. Breakfast excellent, spa and pool facilities are also very good. Location is very central for exploring the Dordogne Valley.

very nice, well maintained building, room and grounds. Beautiful garden and pool. Spa in the basement that coujld be used privately. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast (optional) and free refreshments and snacks during the day. Great stay! absolutely recommended.

Beautiful place location and services. Spotless. Staff all lovely. Pool area lovely. Liked the complimentary drinks and snacks available during the day little touches but makes for a more enjoyable stay.

Beautiful room and chateau with lovely grounds, swimming pool and spa. Exceptional hosts who have thought of every tiny detail. Delicious breakfast with homemade cakes by Thierry - very impressive!! Would also strongly recommend a massage.

There was nothing that we did not like.

I would rate this chateau not just a 5 star but as a 10 star experience. From check-in to check-out, Anne-Marie and Thierry, the owners, not only met our every need, but they also exceeded our expectations. Their kindness and thoughtfulness made the stay so special. The room was immaculate, airy, bathroom was extremely large and exceptionally well appointed. Our room was very comfortable for a 10 day stay. The chateau only has 4 rooms which makes the stay feel very intimate without feeling small. The chateau in addition to the guest rooms has a large dining room, kitchen, living room and spa that was available to the guests. The chateau was very large, with the facilities and expansive grounds surrounding the chateau. Breakfast could not have been better. I had a made-to-order omelet each morning that was complemented with a large and varied selection of pastries, cakes, cereals, fruits, meats, cheeses, juices, coffees and water. If this was not enough, pastries, cakes, coffees, water, soda were available during the day and evening. The chateau had a beautiful, heated pool and sitting area. There was a spa that had a hot tub, steam room, and fitness equipment. This was available to quests at no charge. We loved our experience and would recommend the chateau to everyone. When friends have asked us about our vacation, we have said our stay was so exceptional that it become a favorite part of the trip.

Breakfast was delicious with a large amount of choice. Facilities: - the pool was large and heated. The jacuzzi was big and the timed slots mean you can have it to yourself with your partner. The room and bathroom were both large and everything is so well thought-out in terms of interior design. The hosts are lovely and very thoughtful - gifting us champagne since we're on our honeymoon.

This is a lovely hotel in a quiet location The lovely owners have appointed the chateau to a high standard They work hard to cater for the needs of their guests and maintain the property and grounds themselves There is a lovely heated pool in a well tended garden Breakfasts were excellent and we asked for a bottle of wine which was left chilling on the terrace after a dinner in a local restaurant If anyone could find fault they would have to be extremely discerning

So excellent we just had to stay another night. Lovely hosts, clean, modern, full of beautiful art, and it even has a spa area. The breakfast was outstanding too, I couldn't ask for anything else.

Just perfect. Beautiful castle, very arty decoration, clean, comfortable, spacious, and the owners are the sweetest! So much thought has been put into everything for maximum comfort, from the position of the sockets to the shape of the spoons. I truly can't find any fault. There's also a spa with jacuzzi and wet sauna. The breakfast was delicious as well.

The Chateau de Maraval was stunning. The owners had restored it to an exceptional standard. The decor inside the property was modern and adorned with amazing artwork. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit salad, fresh bread and pastries, cheeses hams and also eggs cooked to order. The pool was secluded behind a stance of trees and was heated with plenty of sunbeds. Drinks were available in the afternoon to take to the pool with a slice of cake. The room was very large with a large, amazing bathroom with free-standing bath, shower and twin basins. It was pure luxury. There was also a gym, steam room and jacuzzi in the basement.

Amazing property which is completely refurbished to an exceptional standard by someone with impeccable design taste and knowledge. Only 4 rooms, and adults only, makes for a tranquil setting. All little details are taken care of by Thierry & Anne-Marie, who are fantastic hosts.

Lovely grounds and pool. Characterful chateau from the outside - thoroughly modern and very comfortable inside. Well situated for exploring many villages and large chateaux on the banks of the Dordogne. Very welcoming, attentive and helpful owners. Delicious breakfast.

Slow wifi service

Very nice property. The garden is beautiful, the building has been redone with upscale and luxurious taste. The amenities are comprehensive such as exercice room, steam room, whirlpool and outdoor pool. The room is spacious with a superbly luxurious bathroom. The garden ground with grown and flower trees, is gorgeous. Breakfast, at extra for us, is top notch with viennoiseries, a variety of French and other types of bread, cold cuts, cheese, juice, expresso coffee and fried eggs. The hosts Thierry and Anne-Marie are solicitous, providing great assistance for places to visit and restaurants to choose for dining out. Top cleanliness. Our experience with this place is 5 stars.
