Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIF I'm going to be critical at all it is that the hosts were not serving dinner when we were there. Something they had offered in the past. We hope they do when we next visit, hopefully in September
The hosts were so friendly and very engaging. The area is quiet and peaceful which is just what we are looking for when visiting France.

Really friendly and welcoming hosts, clean and very comfortable rooms with large bathrooms, heaps of character in the building and rooms, and an amazing breakfast. Also a great place to stay with our dog with lots of space for pets to run around and its a very dog friendly building. It's also close to the motorway and was a great overnight stay on our trip.

New ZealandEverything was perfect!
The extremely peaceful vibes of the place, with its history and easy access makes this château an ideal option for people who want to visit the region and nearby Baie de Somme in particular. A good stop too for people travelling between Britain and Paris. The host is super-friendly and the breakfast (included) was fantastic! By staying at Béhen, you also help the owner with costs of maintaining a historic building.

United KingdomWe were looking for a final stop on a long journey from the south of France before returning to England. Only an hour from the tunnel and appearing to have a bit more character than average, it had the makings of an ideal capstone to our holiday. It exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed our short time immensely. The chateau is beautiful, in a lovely setting, and the room was very comfortable. Our host was very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious.

United KingdomI suppose it’s getting older and “cracks” are starting to appear but, at present, it adds to its charm.
A fantastic old chateau brimful of character and nostalgia. A superb breakfast offering with giant croissants, great coffee, crusty bread and ample orange juice. And what a great host - nothing was too much trouble.

United KingdomI had to borrow some fly spray because at first my room had a few flies. But this was a small price to pay. Everything else was excellent.
Breakfast was excellent with massive croissants...but the evening meal the night before was absolutely fabulous regional cuisine (crepes, chicken. French beans, a massive cheese board, and chocolate tart and ice cream) and lots of it, washed down with a very drinkable red Bordeaux. Nobert was a brilliant, chatty charismatic host who was also a good cook! OK the room was al little tired but it was a beautiful family chateau with huge upkeep and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomNothing. It suited us very well.
The chateau is stunningly beautiful and in tranquil location. Norbert and his brother are excellent hosts and super accommodating. It is dog friendly and has a scenic walk around the parklands. Lots of safe parking. Breakfast was French continental style with delicious croissants (freshly made and delivered by the baker!), cheese, ham and perfect coffee to get us started for the day.

United KingdomApart from a little bit of a tidy up here and there, e.g. around the table-tennis area and the way into the car park, there is nothing we didn’t really like.
The location is superb, beautiful garden, animals around, amazing château, décor and history. The breakfast was excellent - fruit, yoghurt, cheese, croissant, delicious French bread, juice, coffee, tea, etc. However, what really made our stay was the welcome Norbert-André and his brother extended to us. Although we only stayed one night they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, talked to us about the château and it’s history and even showed us around some of the other rooms. As we left we bought 6 bottles of their wine, 3 white & 3 red … I wish we’d bought a case, they were first class! Thank you Norbert-André and a thank you to your brother as well (the one who went to Bolivia), I’m sorry that I didn’t catch his name. Merci et à la prochaine, Amanda & Andrew.

United KingdomNo complaints although it's a very quiet place so I felt a bit nervous about our kids making a noise, but luckily for us they were well behaved!
A very warm welcome from our host who's family own the Chateau. It looks beautiful from the outside and the gardens are kept immaculately. Inside it has a real old world feel to it, very rustic with lots of antique furniture, ornaments and paintings. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and recommended a lovely restaurant in Abbeville which we loved. The breakfast was delicious, simple French continental but with plenty of choice. Lovely croissants, ham and cheeses, coffee and hot chocolate. The kids loved it, especially seeing the baby goats in the back garden and being allowed to feed them!
