Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these areas, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaOverall, it was really good, but it would have been better if there was a fridge in the room.
Close to the train station. The room was spacious and warm, the bed was comfortable, and I liked that the room had a separate bathroom and toilet. I also liked the view of the nature from the terrace. It was nice to have access to the spa.

CanadaMy only concern was the lighting situation in my second room RM. 145 across from the main building. There is very little bright light from any overhead lighting in the bedroom area. Small problem during an exceptional stay
The hotel was an exceptional surprise as there were many previous reviews about renovation and construction noise and confusion. There were no outstanding renovations taking place anywhere that I saw. The two different rooms I had were both very generous in size, well appointed, nice bathrooms, and good space provided. Breakfast was fantastic and catered to a variety of travellers, all food was well prepared, adequate, well replenished, staff were excellent and helpful everywhere. Overall an great hotel, perfectly located next to the train station and the main pedestrian street into the city centre. Spa was an extra added treat as well.

IrelandThe rooms were just fine, actually not a highlight at all unfortunately. The lighting in the room wasn't good, option was just all or nothing at night, but the biggest issue was that there was no air conditioning - it got so hot we found it very hard to sleep. Also despite quite a nice bathroom, with a walk in shower, the water pressure in the shower was really bad. The views of the mountains in general are great, and the balconies are pretty big, however be warned with the shapes of the balconies and their roofs that almost all on south east side are blocked from actually seeing Mont Blanc, the staff kindly gave us a room 'with a view' on 'the mont blanc side' as they said, but you'd be hard pushed leaning over the edge of the balcony to actually catch a sliver of the iconic mountain, you need to be on the south west side to have a view of it, if that's what you're looking for. Parking is expensive at €30/day, it's actually €10/day cheaper to make use the car park right next to the hotel, which isn't affiliated, although note you'll have to move you car out and back in every 24hrs, easy to do though.
The staff were lovely. Breakfast was good, the outdoor area is such a tranquil spot to have a morning coffee, looking up at a glacier. The spa, which seems very new, was also lovely although we didn't try the sauna, just the pool and outdoor area. Nice bathrobes are provided in your room, but no slippers. The location for Chamonix (at least in the summer) is fantastic, the hotel is really central, right next to the train station, with shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep, and just a short walk to the middle of the town. There is a car park right next to the hotel too.

IsraelWe expected amenities suitable for a 4 star hotel - we've been here when the hotel was owned by Mercure - , but the reality was disappointing: no fridge in the room, no table and chairs in the room, no suitable amenities in the bathroom, only partial cleaning of the bathroom. We were 5 nights in the hotel but the towels were not changed. The breakfast price for a 13 years child was 40 Euro, which is the highest I've seen. No host discounts card was available.
The hotel is well placed, closed to the center and transport means. We liked the room and lobby decoration.

NetherlandsNo airconditioning while it was 30 degrees outside. Loud concert across the street so we kept windows and balcony doors closed. Fan provided after requesting it at the reception. Very low carpark in the underground garage (not usable for Small SUV with skibox on the roof) so public parking is required. Breakfast ok, but no vegetables or other healthy options (lots of sugary stuff and a single yoghurt with fruit option).
Nice location, excellent swimming pool with outdoor sauna, hot tub and indoor hamam. Across the street but bathrobes are provided (no slippers by the way!). 1 minute from the SNCF trainstation, 2 minutes from the city center and Montenvers station. 5 minute walk from the Téléphérique to the Aiquille du midi. Rather small room, but with a balcony.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are small and have minimal conveniences, not even a minibar. Balconies are useless: no table, no chairs, no rack to dry towels used at the pool. For a 4 star hotel to have only very basic things such as soap/shampoo and towels is not right. I would rate this hotel at 3 stars but the little pool and a sauna with services elevate their quality.
Location, staff, hall, pool.

United KingdomHad to change rooms when I extended my stay from 2nights to 5. Stayed in a lovely room the first night which made us want to extend. Went from having a lovely room with a great view to one with no view facing a parking lot and another hotel. Asked to move rooms 10min after moving and was told no, yet the hotel wasn’t full? Just a bit frustrating. New room had no chairs on the balcony and lights around the tv didn’t work so room in the evening was really dark. Only managers seem to be able to make decisions so you have to wait for one to be on shift. Surely you could give your team a bit more empowerment to make decisions? All the rooms seem to be pre allocated before arrival which is just silly. We had to check out and then wait till 4pm till our room was ready.. why not just put us in a room that was ready so we don’t have to wait all day and put all our stuff in the car for the day? Little things but changed our stay from being wonderful to a bit average. The pool facilities are really impressive but can get really busy with kids later in the day. Definitely need some signage about wet floors and jumping in the pool. Surprised how little signage you have in that area. Bit disappointing it doesn’t open till 9am and closes at 8pm.
Great location and loved the pool area. The team are nice and everyone we met through the hotel were very approachable and always greeted us. We stayed when this hotel was a Mercure 2 years ago and they’ve really done a lovely refurb.
