Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongIt’s in the middle of nowhere but that’s what we needed. Host Victor is super nice. Two rooms for this property so it’s very cozy. Happy chat during breakfast with other couples.

LuxembourgAll was very good, nothing to complain about.
The young owner of the a small house with 2 guest rooms gave us a warm welcome in his house in the countryside. Best of all, he prepared for his guests a delicious dinner, you don't want to miss this if he offers to prepare. Epaule d'Agneau as a main and a perfectly seasoned Paté after a recepy from his Italian mother. 'Vaut le détour', as the Michelin guide would say.

BelgiumThe house is very beautiful and minimalistic. The rooms have everything you need and the surroundings are beautiful. In addition victor offers the opportunity for dinner at night (35€ for a 3 course meal at the time of writing, excluding drinks). It is just fabulous home cooking from a seasoned chef. You are losing out if you don’t at least try it once. Victor as a host is very nice and an absolute joy to talk with. I’m so happy i learned about this place.

BelgiumVery nice location 'in the middle of nowhere', at walking distance from the Rhone. The owner of this place - Victor - is not only a very helpful host but also an excellent chef. The 3-course dinner he prepared for us was simply delicious. Also breakfast was excellent. We booked the large room, which was spacious, clean and well equipped. With airco! The place is about 20 km away from the A7 and the A9.

AustraliaNothing. Everything was perfect.
Victor was a consummate host. The property is gorgeous and beautifully kept. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and sweet smelling linen. Everything was truly perfect. Breakfast was so good - We only wish we had taken the option of dinner as we arrived late and Victor let us taste the dessert he had prepared. Incredible! Our advice is to let him cook for you and you won’t regret it. I cannot rave enough about this experience.

United KingdomEverything was fantastic
Great location, just metres from the Rhone long distance cycle route. The B&B is in a very quiet, rural location, is very stylish, with comfortable beds and good value for money. What makes this place so exceptional is that Victor (the owner), who is a professional chef, makes you a fantastic three course dinner. He's a really nice guy, and it felt such a privilege that we effectively had our own private chef. Breakfast was great, more than enough for cyclists and secure bike storage.

NetherlandsThere could be more of a garden that’s secluded from the rest of the properties where you could read a book or just relax.
This B&B is situated in the most extraordinary place: on an island in the river Rhône. You have to drive a bit but then you get to a fantastic location where is is very quiet and you’re surrounded by nature. Very special. And furthermore, the host cooks very good!!

PolandThere was literally nothing I didn't like. Perferct 10/10
The location is remote and it will be rather difficult to get there by means other than car/taxi (or bike), however this is what we were going for. As such, the location is quiet and picteresque, perfect if You need to destimualte Yourself. The property is new, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It has all the necessary accomodations. But more importantly, Victor is an exceptional host, very helpful, with great knowledge and love for the region, and what's even better - great love and passion for food. Please spoil yourself and do try the dinners he offers, as I can guarantee You You will not find better meals in the region.

Wonderful barn conversion at a secluded farm. Beautiful nature, close to the Rhone, really tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, which is aided by the fact that there’s so few guests. Victor is a gem, an awesome cook and a true ambassador for the region! You should absolutely not miss his three-course-dinner, it’s truely Michelin star restaurant level, and it‘s all using local, in-season ingredients. An amazing experience, and unbeatable in terms of price and quality.

ItalyVictor is a very charming host. He is welcoming, a very talented chef, and able to make you feel at home, immediately. The space is refurbished with a clear and stylish taste. The position along the Via Rhona, for us cyclists, was a little bit hidden but very handy on the way to Avignon. Don't have any doubts about the "secret" dinner he will offer! Just enjoy it, like we did!
