Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing it was all great
Great location off a lovely street full of brasseries, (one photogenic one with a happy hour right next door) boulangeries etc. Near metro. Great decor. Quirky and bohemian. Breakfast in a lovely room with all basics covered. Room slightly no frills but that didn't bother us as it was spacious and had a pleasant spacious bathroom too. Pretty unusual for a semi budget Paris hotel these days. As were very nice staff and general decor and presentation. All in all had low expectations of a "hostel" and feared the worst of a noisy place and small room but it was fantastic and quiet too and it was such a nice surprise. Also there are facilities should you want to cook eat in the kitchen area which would help if you are a budget.

Czech RepublicPermanent noise/buzz in the apartment nr. 18 (fridge? air conditioning?) Shared toilet on the corridor could be better managed (cleaning service)
Nice location, cozy apartments, shower in the apartment Breakfast room could be also used as shared workspace or just for rest during the day (until 11 pm)

CanadaSuper quiet! And in a great neighbourhood! I really liked having a private room with a shower to myself; the main bathroom was always available when needed and that was initially my concern. Breakfast was convenient and there is a cafe/bar right next door that has amazing cappuccinos.

GermanyI suggest not to book breakfast. Even though it is sufficient, it is quite simple and limited. Rather discover one of the small cafes in the surroundings and embrace different breakfast options Paris has to offer.
The hotel is very nice located - close to metro, supermarkets and lots of adorable restaurants. I stayed in a single room. Even though it is indeed quite small, it was absolutely sufficient and very clean. View to the courtyard, which is super quiet, you could even sleep with windows open.

BrazilThe breakfast is very simple, with no fruit. The shower stall is way too small and tends to flood the room floor. It's also a bit weird having a toilet "inside a closet". But I guess these are minor things.
The hotel is very well located in Paris, near to 2 different subway stations, to lots of restaurants, and to many touristic places. Plus, I felt safe walking around the neighbourhood at night. The staff was mostly quite friendly, whether in French or English. I arrived a little earlier than check-in time and my room was already available, which was great - and very kind of Clémence (which I think was the receptionist's name as I remember - sorry if it's not!). The price is good for Paris and for having a private room with a shower/toilet.

PhilippinesI greatly appreciated that the lady receptionist allowed us to check in earlier (since the room was already ready). I was with my mom who's a senior, and we came from a 16-hr flight, so that made me so happy. The location is perfect--in the beautiful Montmarte, very near a train station, with nice restaurants and grocery stores nearby. They offer breakfast, which is great. Kitchen is very spacious and can also be accessed til around midnight so you can also bring your own food during other times of the day. Room's a bit small--but manageable. :)

Staff was very friendly. They let me check in earlier, gave me bottle of water, were absolutely helpful and gentle. The view was very romantic - to the green garden. Location the best. The price was good and room was clean. Nice breakfast, quite simple, but ok) Free croissans after!

PolandThe hotel is very pretty at the reception area and kitchen / sitting area is very comfortable and 'instagram-friendly' :) However can't say the same about the rooms. The contrast is quite big. The rooms are old , basic, small. Good to sleep one night, but I would not like to stay there longer than that. Anyway, it matched the expectation and was good enough for the money we paid. It's rather that the common area exceeded our expectations a lot )
