The view from the terrace where we had breakfast taking in the citadel of Carcassonne was remarkable. Patrick is a very helpful host, who gave us good advice about local sights, and excellent recommendations about where to eat. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The location is close to the centre of the main town. The citadel and the railways station are within walkable distance. The guesthouse is an ideal spot to be based for exploration of the area.

Everything was very fine.

Excellent view of the local Medieval city coupled with a wonderful breakfast by the friendly host Patrick. Its central location also has convenient walkways to the Medieval city or the newer City centre.

Ideal location , spectacular view of the medieval city from the terrace; also overlooks a lovely park and the river. Really quiet and green neighbourhood, easy to walk everywhere, Patrick our host was so helpful and very welcoming. The house itself is gorgeous, quite a gem. Cosy and comfortable bedroom. We loved all of it!

Only the weather in April wasn’t the best

This place truly is a hidden gem. The view from the terrace is amazing! The rooms are very clean, the house is quiet and the location is perfect. The host Patrick is a very friendly man who can give lots of recommendations about things in the area to do and visit. I would highly recommend this guesthouse when visiting Carcassonne!

The only minor down side as we were traveling by car was some uncertainty about parking close to the guesthouse. As it happens, someone moved out as we arrived and we were able to park very close, but you might have to wait or park further away. No problem with dropping off bags though.

Excellent french style breakfast inside as the normal terrace site for breakfast was a bit chilly. The host was brilliant, full of useful information about Carcassonne. And the situation was excellent with great views of the Cité and within easy walking distance of old and new Carcassonne.

Lovely place - location excellent for town or the castle. Very comfortable room with nice bathroom. Lovely first floor terrace with one of the best views of the castle anywhere - breakfast is served there and you can use it any time for drinks etc. Host was very friendly and helpful - being Irish, speaking English is not a problem!! Lovely breakfast.

There was nothing we did not like.

Great view from the terasse towards the fortress. Patrick was really helpful. We had an excellent visit because of his recommandations. We had nice conversations and time on the terasse with fellow guests.

The terrace for afternoon drinks and breakfast is sensational as is the host Patrick who genuinely cares for his guests and their experience in Carcassone. The property is a short walk to the lower town and higher citadel. Great photos from the terrace with a peaceful park on the opposite side of the road.

Patrick was a wonderful host,extremely friendly and genuinely caring. The location is great foe exploring Carcassonne and the view of the castle from the terrace is amazing. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace and was delicious.

A new lock and key to our room door would have been better.

Patrick was a great host. Breakfast was an extra cost but well worth. Location was excellent - situated between the Centre and the Cite. The view of the medieval city from the guesthouse terrace was the best in Carcassonne. Free parking.

Excellent location re convenience to everywhere, bus from airport stops nearby, very clean, nice bed linen, comfortable mattress and pillows, nice antique furniture, very helpful owner , lovely tastefully presented breakfast, river walk nearby, magnificent swimming pool complex within 10 to 12 minutes walking distance. We could not have been more pleased

Amazingly located, Patrick’s property is perfect if you want to explore both the medieval city and the Bastide. Patrick is a lovely and extremely helpful host. Spacious, well equipped, and clean rooms, and a great breakfast. Recommend!

Patrick was a great host. The breakfast was spot on! The accommodation was very comfortable and in a fantastic location. What a fabulous view to sit and enjoy whilst having breakfast. Made our stay very enjoyable indeed.
