We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe staff were nice and friendly. Housekeeping could be improved and the room could have been cleaner.the one dining room chair was in need of repair. The bins outside in the car park were overflowing on our arrival were still spewing out their contents three days later and The steps leading up to the rooms could do with a scrub. The green slim that’s growing on them is an accident waiting to happen.

United KingdomWe booked dinner for our second night but when we turned up we were told the dining room was shut. No explanation as to why they'd let us book the table just 24 hours earlier. Also the dining room was not closed, they'd decided to allow a large booking and so would not let anyone else use the spare tables. No apology. Electrics in room not fully working. Shower head also faulty. In view of way treated over dinner booking, we decided no point in reporting these faults.
Breakfast & dinner OK., parking and location good. Bit of noise between rooms, but not too bad.

United KingdomWe had breakfast in the morning and for the price I didn't feel that the choices warranted the price. I had to ask for milk to be refilled and bread choices ran out and were slow to be replenished.
This is a good hotel with all the facilities needed for a night's stay. The bed was comfortable, plenty of storage, ensuite was good and well equipped. The location is out if town but there are still plenty of places in and around the hotel to get a meal.
