Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe heater in the room was broken and hanging off the wall. There was something spilt on the door of the room and not cleaned off from previous guests. There were only small side lights in the room, which some did not work and no main light on the ceiling.
Great location and beds were comfortable.

United KingdomCheck in was from 2pm. We arrived after 4pm and reception was shut. There was a lady in reception, who I believe was the receptionist. She eventually checked us in but I felt like she didn’t want to be there. Ran out of loo roll, came down around 3.30am to ask at the 24/7 reception & there was only a security guard there. He said he didnt have access to any more toilet roll. Very helpful
Stopped for the rugby. Loved how close it was to the stadium and there was a Lidl less than 5 minutes away for snacks.

SwitzerlandThe toilet seat was broken. We asked for it to be fixed but were told it was unlikely to happen on a SSaturday. OK - the toilet seat should not have been broken but it did not spoil our trip
I don't really understand what the negative comments are about. This is a budget hotel similar to an IBIS budget. Yes - it is basic but then you are not paying for luxury. The room was clean and functional, the price was fair and you are about ten minutes walk from the stadium.

United KingdomOverall lack of cleanliness. The passageways looked dirty and not cared for, with scuffs everywhere and stains on the carpet. It resembled a hostel more than a hotel. I've stayed in other B&B Hotels which have been basic but great. The bathroom needed a good scrub - the shower grouting was very dirty. Not the sort of hotel room you'd want to linger in for too long! It was really expensive for what it was, due to the event happening in the stadium. Be aware that if you're arriving by tram it's virtually impossible to get a taxi to the hotel and it was a long walk in the dark.
Really well located for the stadium, which would be the only reason to book this really. It was a 15 minute walk to the tram station with a really nice boulangerie half way which was a lovely place for breakfast. (We didn't fancy trying the hotel breakfast because of the level of cleanliness in the hotel). The bed itself was clean and comfortable.

AustraliaWe traveled from Australia for the World Cup and this BnB was the ideal location to the stadium, only a few minutes walk. Basic but clean accommodation, perfect for one night’s stay. Had everything you needed and breakfast was also included which was pastries, tea and coffee and juices etc. Would recommend for a short stopover for sure.

FranceAutomatic machine outside the property to give you your access codes wasn't working properly. About 30 people were trying to get in from 14:30 onwards and the helpline was absolutely useless and told us we would just have to wait until 17:00 until the reception opened. Very poor customer service. When they had so many different people trying to get in and complaining they should have sent a staff member to the property straight away. I was lucky that I managed to secure a cheap price on the hotel booking really early but lots of others had paid a lot of money for a basic hotel because it was on a big match day at Lyon Groupama stadium
Easy walk to the Groupama stadium to watch the rugby
