Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Germanythe room is tiny, i couldn't open my suitcase. i travelled alone and i felt a bit squished, i would not recommend this room for 2 people, or not for more than 1 night and if you just have small suitcases the elevator is small too, when i took it with my luggage, nobody else would fit. the price is outrageous and not great value considering the room size.
the hotel is right in front of the gare de lyon, perfect for an early train room, bed, bathroom, balcony, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable. the breakfast is exceptional staff is very friendly my little dog was warmly welcomed

AustraliaThe king room with city views was 16 m2 (we knew this when we booked). Not all that spacious given the tariff. But then this is Paris, and other equivalent nearby hotels were similar and more expensive.
Staff were solicitous and friendly. Reception was prompt to assist with an issue to do with pending payment not of their making. Location was perfect for our needs, a few hundred metres from the Gare de Lyon.

SwitzerlandThere was no where to hang up my clothes. There was an ironing board which was great but it would have been nice if there was somewhere to hang my clothing. Perhaps in the bathroom where the ironing board is located would work?
Nicely appointed room. Comfy beds. Nice staff. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Good airconditioning. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as there are many places close by.

MexicoWe can be very nit picky but this hotel is definitely worth the money. The small details that may have been personal or maybe are to be examined if noticed by other guests: The creaky floor boards in room 505 give a very homey feel in the room however I do hope the floor was sound proof for the neighbors underneath us as I was worried we were disturbing the peace to the floor 4 neighbors. The wifi internet was unreliable for my wife and I and could be an issue if I were here on business. Upon our first night I killed 3 gnats and a small moth in the room. Didn’t really bother me and no reoccurring bugs the next day but it was a small detail that could bother some guests.
Cleanliness on point in oh so many ways! Loved the breakfast. Varied and great quality of foods without there being a clear waste of product and perfect for a few days of service. The Jay Paris shower capsules were a first for us and very interesting and unique amenities experience.

United States of AmericaAll hotels need to offer an early check in. We would be willing to pay extra for it. The all night airline flight and hellacious ordeal at the airport (3 hour border patrol standing in line with hand luggage) and excessively large airport walking left us beyond exhausted! We purchased upgraded airline tickets to access the airline lounge, but they were closed. We arrived by taxi to the hotel at 11:30 am and checked into our room at 2:30pm, even after requesting an early check in when we reserved the hotel months in advance. All hotels should also have printed materials in the room to order a meal to be delivered to the hotel. We had to run a block away in very cold rainy weather to get food for our first day in Paris.
Staff were exceptionally good. Best breakfast ever. We had one of the largest suites with an in room shower and toilet, which was tastefully decorated. We were 2 minute walk to the train station.

United KingdomAs I have curly hair, I'd have liked a diffuser on the hairdryer, but that is perhaps expecting too much. Some other bathroom extras - ear buds / spare toothpaste etc. - would have been useful.
It's a lovely hotel, newly refurbished and in a great position. Our room was a good size for Paris and it was lovely to have an actual bath instead of a tiny shower. Very comfy beds and nice that the windows open as well. Good breakfast and the traditional lift adds a good element of old glamour.
