Would have preferred a buffet style breakfast to allow me to choose things we preferred and not waste those things we didn't.

Bed was firm and very comfortable. A very clean hotel, with friendly and efficient staff. English speaking younger lady was excellent. She had a great knowledge of the area and was really helpful. Her French was very good as well.

The main problem with this hotel is the price, we paid €97 for the room with out breakfast. There’s no facilities at the hotel and it isn’t staffed outside the four hour check in time. The bed is nice and comfortable but value wise it should be about €50-€60 per night maximum. For this reason we wouldn’t recommend unfortunately as the staff are very nice.

Exceptionally clean and it’s close proximity to the motorway was good. The village of Chablis is just a short walk away and it’s definitely worth a visiting.

Our room and bathroom had recently decorated and was very calming and nice. Freshly painted, nice light fittings. A short distance from town centre, we walked to our restaurant. Friendly staff.

I requested an earlier check in which was denied and I think the reason was because the staff/reception didn't actually open until 1600hrs which for a £110 pound room I thought was pretty poor. I ordered a beer in the early evening but then when I went back the staff were gone by 2000hrs and all the remaining keys for guests arriving later had been left out. Finally, due to not really having staff around for any length of time some coffee in the room and a kettle might be a good idea.

It was clean and comfortable and the room was a very good size for a family of four with a modern bathroom.

We looked for a place to stay for one night for a stop over at Chablis. The Lyx aux Chablis offers a very friendly welcome, easy accessibility, good parking, clean big rooms and it is just a short walk to the center of the village e.g. to the wonderful restaurant Les Trois Bourgeons. It offers a great value for money ratio.

Wifi was very poor, didn't work in the rooms, only the lobby. Plumbing in the renovated rooms was not good, bad smells when someone flushed the toilet. Cost of the room was too high for the quality of the rooms.

No buffet and not a lot of choice for breakfast as they serve a tray with continental breakfast to you, it actually works well but I prefer to choose my own.

Receptionist (English) went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, more than helpful and very pleasant, friendly and professional.

The location is a bit of a hike from town which means having to drive to get somewhere on day that has 28 degree temperatures so you don’t arrive covered in sweat. The bar advertised exists but don’t count on a glass of wine when you return from dinner as no staff will be in the hotel. Really sad after dinner wanting more of that precious Chablis and not being able to after driving. Bathroom faucets were a weird and shower symbols for overhead and hand wand were backwards.

Reception lady was very friendly and welcoming. As was the woman at breakfast.

We were not sure what to expect with this accommodation but it exceeded expectations. It has recently had a makeover so rooms were fresh, clean and really comfortable. It was just a short walk to the centre of Chablis and free parking was a bonus. Thank you!

There was nothing I did not like, other than the design quality of the bedrooms now shines a brighter spotlight on the common spaces, but the more people who take advantage of the bedrooms will generate income for the refurb to be completed.

I was surprised by the appearance of the room and en-suite loo and shower space which I would describe as 'state of the art'. Clearly there has been a recent refurb and the management has quite rightly invested in the most important element of the hotel for guests - the bedrooms. Well done!
