The only slight annoyance was that the floor of the shower was very slippery and could be risky for persons who are unsteady on their feet also due to the design of the shower it was difficult not to cause the floor in front of the shower enclosure from becoming wet.

No noise from the road, but noise from the next room and from behind our room (generator?). The situation regarding which autoroute junctions to use or be fined, explained in detail on the back of the room door, wasn't mentioned to us in English. Fortunately, I think we understood it, although we found it very strange - if you're staying in a hotel at an autoroute services.

The 4th bed in the quadruple room, the one underneath the single bed, is very small and not very comfortable. If the child is big will not fit. There should be a normal single bed. Breakfast not great for the price paid.

Quiet, very clean and most beds very comfortable. Location good if travelling on the motorway.

There was a constant machinery noise (air con system maybe). We got used to it quickly and didn’t stop us sleeping but worth knowing if you need silence.

It was super easy to check-in despite the late hour. The staff was lovely and welcoming. The room was very functional, clean and roomy. The bathroom was much bigger than most hotel rooms. It was great to have the car parked by our door and no stairs to climb or lifts to take. Being just off the motorway as part of a service station, it’s a convenient location for a stop-over.

Two minor negative points. 1. There was a continual background noise in the room which we initially thought came from the extractor fan in the bathroom. In the morning though we noticed that there is an access door on the end of the building leading to a service corridor running behind all of the rooms. We think now that the noise may have been coming from there. It affected my wife's sleep as she is a very light sleeper. 2. We like to sit in bed with our backs against the wall to read before sleeping. In doing so the bed continually moved away from the wall behind it. On checking why we found that, although there are no wheels on the bed legs the legs tend to slide on the very smooth and polished floor. We had to reposition the bed numerous times whilst reading. This is an annoying negative point.

Our stay at the ACE Motel Athée sur Cher met our expectations entirely. Ideally accessible from the autoroute but effectively insulated against any noise from the autoroute. The room was clean and had aircon should it be needed, the bed was large and very comfortable. There were only 2 minor negative points which I will mention in the "What I didn't you like" section.

Only complaint was the keypad door entry control. Hit and miss but eventually took number. Probably needs upgrade to card based system/

For the price, which is cheap, the accommodation was as expected. Nothing fancy just good basic accommodation. The breakfast was a bit spartan but for the price this was as expected. as expected and wold stay again.

The Leo restaurant, very overpriced, food was awful, dried up and cold, so if you go there bring your own sandwiches or eat out somewhere else . Breakfast, set up quite nice and was the usual basic breakfast, but the fruit looked like it was very much out of date and was rotting in front of your eyes. So the hotel room was excellent but let down by the restaurant.

The room was good for our needs, it was a good size, WIFI was OK, it is situated on a busy road but you cannot hear anything inside the room. Things that were missing, coffee making facilities, a mat to wipe your feet, if it is wet then going into room leaves dirty footprints... One of the best nights sleeps in ages.

Bathroom fixtures were a bit old and not so clean. No proper shower fixture so shower had one position which aimed straight at the wall at the end of the bath!

very noisy people staying in our row of rooms, allowing kids to play with the heavy doors, which banged closed which vibrated into our room and made us jump. the other people were very inconsiderate in letting the security gate bang closed instead of closing it quietly, it was hot in the room until the aircon started about 20.00hrs, we didn't get much sleep due to the other noisy guests, we were hoping for a quite stay as advertised, but the rooms were not sound proofed. we needed to stay on our return journey from the south of France, so we took the gamble and booked a room away from the the front at number 12, but on our arrival the guy on reception didn't know about it, so he gave us a room on the front, to our dismay it was a repeat of the same hot room, NO aircon at all throughout the night, other guests were letting there front door slam, which vibrated into our room, again we wanted to make an early start the next day, but it was a hot night very little sleep without aircon. will never recommend this Motel.
