“This is an unusual property. It would not suit someone who is looking for a standard modern accommodation, but, if you are looking for something with real character, this is for you. We were greeted on arrival by our very friendly hostess and shown to our room which was on the first floor of the converted stables. It was very spacious and fully of interesting pictures and pieces of furniture. In the evening we met our host as he was repairing one of his veteran cars, and we were shown his collection. The garden of the house is charming and the following morning we had an excellent breakfast. We went into the neighbouring town of Surville for dinner which was also very good.”
