  • “Beautiful , wonderful hostess who couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly”

  • La pause sous le pin Review score: 9.4

“Fantastic hosts who were extremely accommodating with our strange check in / out times, lovely place, brilliant outdoor area with swimming pool and outdoor kitchen, great bedrooms and all for a very reasonable price. Location in the middle of the village with walking distance to restaurants. Would highly recommend! Visited for work but will absolutely come back on holiday.”

  • Peniche Caroline Review score: 9.5

“Where do we start?! From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully well. We were met as we drove up and taken on board the delightful Perniche Caroline. Everything about our stay was superb: our cabin was clean, cosy and so comfortable; we sat on deck with an aperitif before dinner. The dinner was exceptional - beautifully presented, incredibly flavoursome and the locally sourced wine was also lovely. After a wonderful night's sleep, the breakfast that awaited us was the best we have had in France. Above all, our hosts were truly lovely people and passionate about their business. We can't recommend this place enough and will certainly be returning ourselves.”

  • Aux Berges du Canal Review score: 9.4

“Nice terrace, well-equipped kitchen, great shower and air conditioner works well. Generous host and hostess. Met us in their courtyard”

  • Le Manoir Review score: 7.5

“The location just near to the market square was a real plus avoiding the need for getting in the car to go to restaurants and the bakery. The rooms were really big with very high ceilings giving an airy feel to the place. The pool and pool area were clean and because the weather was good that’s where we spent most of our time. The fact that we could get all of the UK channels and Netflix on the television would have been good but we didn’t watch it much since the weather had been so good.”

  • la Porte bleue Review score: 8.5

“The location is great, walking distance to restaurants and the canal.”

  • “Above and beyond to look after us. Beautiful decor, extra details attended to for a comfortable stay.”

  • La Babayaga Review score: 9.4

“The house is really cool. It’s made as a witch house, and each room has its own decorations. The bathrooms are new and clean. There is a big common room with games and a couch, so it’s also very suitable for families with kids. There is a nice small courtyard where you can sit. In the garage there was space for several bikes. Thomas was really nice and made me feel welcomed. The breakfast in the morning was great with freshly pressed orange juice and homemade yogurt.”

  • “The rooms were enormous and quirkily furnished but with very comfortable beds and absolutely super showers. We also had dinner which was delicious. Our preference for a vegetarian meal was catered for with delicious pea and mint soup, a chick pea curry and a chocolate dessert.”
