My stay at the Scandic Joensuu was quite enjoyable. The hotel's central location is very close to train station and the University. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. While the room size was a bit on the smaller side, it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience. Overall, I would recommend the Scandic Joensuu for a pleasant stay in Joensuu

The room was minimal and did not have any kettle so that I could make a night tea before bedtime. Shower had low pressure, so it was unfriendly for long hair.

The hotel was in city center of Joensuu, you can walk anywhere. Free parking lots was so useful!

- The room was a bit smaller. - They promised to put the twin beds together, instead of giving a king-size bed as asked earlier, but they did not do it. We had to do it ourselves putting those beds.

- The location was great and very close to shops and restaurants. Everything was within walking distance. - The staff were nice and helpful - They located the room in a quiet area (far from street noises) and gave extra pillows as I asked earlier. - The breakfast buffet was also great, varied choices to make. - The hotel offered bicycles for free to explore the city.

The convertible chair was quite small for a 10 year old’s bed. She fitted, but there was not a lot of room for her. She is small, so for a bigger child I would say a real bed is better.

They advertise free parking but in reality the amount of free parking space is very limited and works as "first come first serve" basis. The rest have to pay the usual fee of parking in the city

Some improvements would really elevate the stay. For example, the pillows are small and there aren't any extra ones in the room like in many other hotels. The breakfast room is so dated and in desperate need of renovations. I believe it used to be a pizza place in the 80s/90s and still looks exactly the same! I would also love to have more fish/seafood in the breakfast buffet, as the region is known for its freshwater fish. The coffee station in the reception was out of order for our whole stay, meaning we had to walk to the nearby R-kiosk to get a coffee outside the breakfast times!

A great location, everything was easy and the staff very accommodating with our request to extend the stay by one night. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Located in the centre of Joensuu with easy access to shops and restaurants. The hotel features a really nice sauna which is free for guests to use in the evening. Breakfast was good with lots of selection including vegan / gluten intolerant options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was excellent, the location was within a 15 minute’s walk from the station. The staff we dealt with were very polite and professional and helpful. The hotel is located on one of the main streets and the walk down to the Marina is very easy, down the main street, to a park and turn right.

My 16-year-old son stayed at this hotel in August. I would like to thank the hotel staff for their attentive attitude to the organization of the trip, as well as to the child during their stay at the hotel. There was nothing in the room, only two glasses in the bathroom and towels. Dirty stains on the floor, both in the bathroom and in the room. There was no milk for coffee at breakfast, orange juice ran out all over the hotel. Also at breakfast, there were empty plates on the server table. I would understand if I paid 30 euros for this room, but I paid 178 for one night. Terrible.
