No curtains, woke up really early every morning as I had no idea there will be no curtains so I did not bring my sleep mask with me. Dinner was sometimes ok and sometimes not so okay, breakfast ok!

Limited hot water. 15 mins of hot water and having to wait for 30mins to replenish is a hassle for family. Bathroom. Floor at the shower area has sunken down, resulting in water unable to be drained off. No TV. Activities/Tours by the resort. Did kids snow mobile, ski intro and norther light tour. Only intro to the controls of the snow mobile and pretty much left it to the kids to self learn or the parents to help guide the kids afterwards. Ski was slightly better, but the instructors does not seems to be good ski-er themselves. Overall, would recommend to stay at the resort and probably engage tours/activities from external.

The location and overall surrounding was good. Quite scenic. Cabins were far enough and located in such a way that the privacy level was good. Staffs are generally polite and helpful

A lot more expensive than others we visited, and yet felt cheaper and less personal an experience. Cheaper furnishings, cabins aged with wear and tear that has not been tended to and anything else you wanted to do came at additional charges, which when premium was already highest felt too much. No personal touches. And food was mediocre. Buffet meals meant didn’t go hungry, was a reasonable selection but quality sub-par for what they advertised themselves to be. Should have been pre-informed that not so much as a juice or soft drink included with dinner. Again, more and more hidden costs.

Good cabin location on front row, not overlooked. Easy to reach via bus from airport.

The hotel seems to be understaffed in all areas - at the reception, kitchen and safari house - which causes chaos, delays and poor service. They say that special measures are taken in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, but I have not seen that. The tables in the restaurant are not cleaned properly after other guests (may be also due to shortage of staff), and I found someone else's snack leftovers in the pockets of the thermo overall they provide you. The resort focuses heavily on offering their own safaris, which, however, do not seem to be properly organised. I paid EUR 199 for a 4-hour husky safari that lasted only three hours. On the aurora hunting safari to the lake (EUR 120), they take you in a bus to the lake where you spend two hours looking at the sky or sitting in a tee-pee, but there is no organisation, no explanation of the aurora etc. And being by the lake does not mean that you are away from the light pollution - you are parked close to the main road to Inari where the lights from the passing cars and Inari's village lights obscure the view of the night sky. The breakfasts and dinners are fine, but nothing special. Location is good if you are looking for a nature experience but want to stay close to the village (which is 10mins walk away). I have expected at least a decent level of service considering the price paid for the cabin. What you get is definitely not a value for the money you pay.

The cabins are cosy and nicely designed. You get a sense of privacy and solitude despite the resort being massive.

When you pay almost 600 for a night you think you are going in a luxury hotel, therefore: aurora cabin are beautiful for the concept, but quite non luxury furnishings. The dinner included in the room rate is a buffet (that offers low quality food, frozen nuggets and frozen french fries). Hotel staff is temporary young people, good smile but not well prepared to be in a “luxury” hotel.

The Aurora Cabin is a very beautiful concept! The room was nice. The staff of the excursion is very nice and available.

Requested for room cleaning for the morning, but they never came because the housekeepers were “busy.” Had to request the towels aside. Not enough heated water. You can’t see the aurora here.

The meals were okay, I guess.
