Nothing really - it was modern, clean and breakfast was great. The chef was exceptionally helpful and welcoming.

This hotel was great for what we wanted. clean, big rooms, efficient service and great location. not the most luxurious but still a very nice hotel and would definitely recommend.

The Booking.com website listed the check in time to 10pm but actually it's 24 hour reception. The sauna hours were limited to set times of the day so didn't manage to try it out.

Breakfast was delicious, definitely worth it to have it included as it's otherwise €30 each. Room was a bit of the small side but had everything you needed. Staff were great and very helpful. If you're a member of IHG (can sign up for free) you can get 2pm late checkout for no extra cost even if you book through Booking.com.

Staff friendly and helpful. We arrived really late so they explained what apps to download to get food delivered. Room was really big and comfortable. Staff were happy to store luggage too

Good location with a tram to the main train station just outside. There is a restaurant within the hotel and a number of cafe's nearby. Staff were friendly and were happy to hold our bags after we checked out.

Hotel is located in the old part of Helsinki, thus streets in the area are narrow and daytime traffic can get congested. This is good to know in case there is a need to catch a train or airplane right after check-out; better reserve a bit of extra time for traffic. (The obvious upside of the location is mentioned above...).

Very central location, excellent for shopping, visiting restaurants, galleries etc. Good size room. Good cleanliness standard. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

We travel a lot and I would definitely reccomend this hotel. From the second we walked through the door until we left, the staff, the restaurant ( we ate there new years eve ) the room , fantastic!

If arriving by train or bus, it may be a bit inconvenient to reach the hotel location as the traffic often gets congested in this part of the city.

Good-size room, top location at the centre of Helsinki. Shopping district and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Good breakfast.

The hotel had an excellent location within walking distance of all the main sites and restaurants. The room was perfect and as it was my birthday, I had a lovely surprise card with some treats and prosecco waiting for me on arrival. Breakfast was excellent too - so much choice and really tasty.

Room was lovely, very clean and well kept. Location is absolutely perfect. Breakfast is great. I was also able to get an amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and avoid the business of the city center. This might be a small thing for some, but I really appreciated that I was able to open a window in the room to get some proper fresh air in and not just rely solely on the aircon. This hotel was recommended by a friend and I am so happy I booked it! Will come back when I am in Helsinki again.

So far I am quite satisfied with the place and the location of the hotel. Nothing much to comment on the area I do not like.

The friendly service staffs, the cleanliness of the rooms and the convenient location of the hotels. It is walking distance to most of the attractions.

Breakfast could include more local food e.g. I hoped to have some Finnish bread cheese (Leipäjuusto). Also, I have a small objection about the staff. Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain an invoice for my stay. The receptionist insisted that he cannot print me an invoice because I reserved and paid for a room via booking.com, and according to him I should ask booking.com for an invoice. However, booking.com clearly states that the hotel should provide me with an invoice. It was really inconvenient since I never had this kind of problem before and I did not have time to argue because I had an early flight to catch. I requested an invoice later, via email and I obtained it. But all these situations bring unnecessary tension that could be easily avoided. The staff should be better informed.

The room was clean, warm, and quiet. A big plus for big and fluffy bathrobes - it is still not a standard. Saunas were also really nice. Most of the staff was very useful and nice. Upon arrival, we obtained a map of Helsinki and a recommendation from a receptionist about what is worth seeing. The breakfast was diverse and tasty, however, I could include more local food. The location is close to the main points of Helsinki. All of the main attractions (and the main railway station) are within walking distance.

The room had a strong unpleasant smell left by the previous guest, which lingered through my entire stay. I think it's probably because air circulation wasn't good.

The only thing we felt the room was possibly missing was some sort of radiator or heated towel rail. We were lucky to avoid most of the rain during our stay, but if we’d have got really wet, we might have struggled to dry clothes/coats in the room. View from our room was of a car park, but that can’t be helped.

One of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had! All foods/drinks clearly labelled, lots of choice for vegetarians and the food we had was delicious. Some favourites were the porridge, pastries and mini apple pie pieces! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with vibrant decor. Great size bathroom with fluffy towels and additional facilities such as the safe, minibar, guest slippers were appreciated. It was our anniversary, for which the hotel left us towels shaped like swans and chocolates on the bed - a lovely gesture that made our stay even better! Great location, metres away from tram stops and fairly central with Helsinki. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We were able to leave our suitcases on the last day, and collect them later on prior to our flight. Will definitely stay at Hotel Indigo again!
