Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe first stayed at the villas 25 years ago and the decor has not changed since then however the villa is clean and tidy. The paint is falling off the walls as you go to the basement and there was no bbq. If I had asked for one I am sure I would have been given one.
The private pool table in the basement and the private pool were brilliant to have on holiday. The villa was spotless and was in a perfect location for the centre, beach etc which were only a five minute walk away. The lights around the pool were not working when we arrived so I informed reception and someone came to fix this within twenty mins!

United KingdomNot a lot, the villa grew on me throughout the week and we had a comfortable stay, just very tired and dated, shabby in places.
The name is misleading, these villas may have been VIP back in the day when they were built and have the real potential to be great again if renovated. Great space for families, fantastic ocean view (villa no 1). Own pool. Had all the essentials to self cater if needed.

United KingdomOur villa was next to the road and traffic went up and down it all night (never really stopped).
We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa no 3, the villa has loads of space 3 bedrooms a very large dining/living room , kitchen, bathroom with walk in shower, pool, patio area and downstairs there is jacuzzi bath , toilet and sink, and then there’s another larger bar area with pool table and 3 pull out beds. These villas are lovely but are in need of renovation. There is also plenty of amenities tv, radio, cd players dishwasher , microwave , fridge/freezer, BBQ and everything you’ll need to make a meal. Depends on what you’re after we loved the villa but I don’t think it would be to everyone’s tastes.

United KingdomThe 2nd bathroom wasn’t a bathroom, it was a toilet and a jacuzzi bath, and this was also the hot tub, it wasn’t accessible to all of our group who had mobility issues as it was down a spiral staircase into the basement which was where the pool table was, the staircase was partly outside and also looked into the bath/jacuzzi so this wasn’t private to shower (ok for a family) the staircase didn’t have a bannister either. We were a bit disappointed as we thought the hot tub was by the pool. It also smelled a bit musty and damp and there was a music system throughout the villa that wasn’t connected, it would have been amazing if it had worked. There were roadworks going on right outside so this spoiled our sleep and peace at the Villa, although this is going on all over caleta de Fuste just now so was just our bad luck that they were drilling at 7.30am at our bedroom window 🙈
The property was spacious, loved the privacy but also togetherness with our group, and it is centrally located with just a short walk to most places so unlike most villas you don’t need a car. The beds were comfy (although mine creaked loudly), everything we needed for our stay and loved having a washing machine and fresh clothes and towels, the pool was cleaned everyday and the maid came to clean regularly, plenty of towels and toilet roll, slippers on arrival, we enjoyed the Villa experience.

United KingdomIssues with doors & safe not locking but was dealt with & rectified immediately. Villa is spotlessly clean but dated. Some broken lamps & other fittings. Bed in master bedroom awful!
Location suits us, everything you need. Basement with pool table & jacuzzi a bonus. Pool cleaner & maid most days. Enjoy having our own space & pool. This is our 3rd visit & we will return next Easter holiday's..

United KingdomIt was dated and could do with a revamp but all very clean and functional. For the price we booked at it's amazing. There isn't a lot in the way of nightlife locally compared to other holiday destinations.
The staff are very helpful and the villa was cleaned regularly. The pool was great and the kids loved the pool table/bar area in the basement. We enjoyed the sun loungers and sea view. We want to rent a larger villa next time and bring more family members! Great stay.

United KingdomThe main thing we didn’t like, that could easily be rectified by a small amount of work, is that the rooms have no internal connection. Access to every room is from the veranda that is open access to the pool. Each bedroom opens onto the veranda, as does the living room, the toilet and the stairwell to the pool room, toilet and outside shower downstairs. This means at night if you need the toilet you need to go outside to access the toilet. This also means should you have small children they need to leave their bedrooms to access the toilet, with access immediately to the pool. You then have the dilemma of if you lock small children into their rooms at night or leave the door unlocked, however there is access to the villas from the street only by a small half sized wooden gate, our one did not close properly, this means anyone could get into the unlocked rooms at night. As mentioned at the start of this paragraph, this could so easily be resolved as there are concrete pillars that could be used to construct a corridor to connect the rooms where a door/full sized gate could be placed for access to the corridor. This would mean all doors could be left unlocked as the ‘external’ door/gate would be locked and then there would be no risk to children having unsupervised access to the pool. It would be excellent if this could be considered by the complex owners. Saying this we are hoping to return next year as our children are at the age where an older one can be with a younger one so as to lock themselves in and listen to open the door if needed, plus the doors are all a little creaky to open so woke us each time too.
The villa was an excellent size and far exceeded our needs for space. The downstairs poolroom was an added bonus for the kids. The bedrooms were an impressive size, we stayed in a 3 bedroom villa which was made up of a double room and 2 twin rooms with 2 single beds in each room. The living room was huge, with a good sized galley kitchen if you needed it, we upgraded to All Inclusive on check in. The kitchen had a cooker, full sized fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, dishwasher. The pool was a lovely size, just perfect for a family as has steps going into the pool and slopes to the deep end, a lot of villa pools are just deep meaning I confident swimming children can’t use them as well. The staff at the Caleta Dorada Resort who the villas are through were amazing and friendly, be it the reception, animation team, bar, restaurant or cleaners. We had a few issues in the villa when we arrived and they were swiftly resolved. We also required the use of clean bedding a few times with a small child having some night time accidents and a bout of sickness, the cleaners were amazing at discreetly sorting the issue once we notified reception and left spare bedding, including waterproof sheets for any middle of the night accidents.
