Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis place is a little hard to find by car since you cannot drive up to it but we were able to walk there without any trouble and Francisco sent very good instructions for finding the place and getting keys to get in. Such a nice place to stay after being in hotels for several days! Plenty of room for us to spread out and a kitchen that had what we needed for coffee in the morning and wine and tapas in the evening. We also did some laundry here in the machine and used the drying rack. We loved the location -- it was just a short walk to the Alcazar and Cathedral, as well as Christmas markets and restaurants. Everything we wanted to see in Seville was within walking distance of this place. The top floor patio was really nice. Be sure to stop in Sabor and Vicens for some nuts and candies just up the alley. Triana is about a 20 minute walk.

United StatesNothing at the fault of the host. It was a little difficult to find based upon how far the taxi can go to drop off and the actual location of the place, but not a big deal. Found pretty quickly after a little exploring. Also, the sun doesn’t get high enough at this time of year to dry clothes on the rack outside on the terrace. No complaints overall, more like observations or FYIs.
Excellent location! The place is beautiful with a wonderful terrace. Since I was traveling with my dad, I also really enjoyed having the main living floor separate the bedroom floors so we each really felt like we had a lot of privacy and space. It was such a unique place to stay. Really enjoyed it.

IrelandDue to its very central location in the main tourist area, the downstairs bedroom was very noisy at night with many tourists chatting & tour guides narrating the history of the area coming past the apartment windows at night. The apartment is at a then end of a lane but many tourists seem drawn past it to the door into the alcazar at the dead end of the lane.
Apartment itself is fabulous and really great location for sight seeing. Has all facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Host was very helpful.

This apartment was fabulous. We loved everything. The separate floors for some privacy but still the middle floor for combined activity! The terrace was wonderful! It was very convenient to most of out activities or to taxis.

AustraliaThe narrow stairs between floors. Everything else was perfect.
Absolutely amazing location, literally sharing a wall with the Alcazar. The sites were so easy to get to. The apartment itself was very comfortable, attractive and spacious, more spacious than it appears in the photos. The rooftop terrace was amazing too.

United KingdomAlthough we coped with the stairs this may not suit some. Could do with more cooking utensils.
The very central location allows easy access by foot to the main sights. You cannot drive to the apartment as it is in the historic centre with narrow streets. The apartment is on 3 levels and is well decorated with authenticity and modern touches. The roof till terrace is very welcome, whilst the apartment always felt cool even in the heat of Seville.

United StatesParking is very expensive in this part of town. The closest parking garage to this apartment was 25 Euros/day. A warning to travelers from US: I don't think Spain has the same rules about setting water heaters. If you're like me and like to crank the water all the way to hot, you will scald yourself.
This apartment is in the heart of the historic center of Seville. It literally shares a wall with the Alcazar palace. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Plenty of room for family of five. Parents, daughters and son all slept on separate floors. Nice showers, kitchen was adequate. The owner was very communicative and helpful.

United KingdomThe beds were a little too firm for some tastes. No other negatives. Taxis cannot drop you off in the narrow street - but its a 2-3 minute walk and not difficult to find. Very quiet - which we liked - although quite a busy touristy area all around it.
Fantastic, atmospheric location - not difficult to find. On the doorstep of the Alcazar Palace and the Cathedral. Plenty of little streets with historic squares and buildings. Plenty of cafes and restaurants. Mini supermarkets within 10-15 minutes walk. Well equipped kitchen, and everything very clean.
