Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt is on the Camino so is very conveniently located. Although check in is at 4pm if you arrive earlier you can sit in their wonderful cafe which serves soft/alcoholic/hot drinks, bocadillos and snacks. An ice cold beer after a long walk is most welcome! The cafe does close at 4-4.30pm. If the rooms are ready they will check you in early. The rooms are clean and spacious. One of our rooms was large enough to hold twin beds and a sofa. The beds were comfortable and the room itself had electric wall heaters. The shared bathroom was clean and had shampoo and shower gel available. For 15 euros you could have a welcome home cooked 3 course communal meal with wine and water. We would suggest you do this as there are no other restaurant/cafe/supermarket facilities around and it was wonderful to have a meal without having to leave the premises and to chat to fellow walkers. Everyone had the same meal, we had lovely bread with cheese, salami and olive snacks, a very hearty homemade soup, followed by tortilla and salad and finished with a fruit compote yoghurt dessert. If you have any specific dietary requirements then please tell them in advance once your booking is confirmed. My walking partner had intolerances and allergies and our hosts were very good in trying to cater for her needs. There is a continental breakfast laid out in the kitchen for you to help yourself, and there was plenty of everything - pastries, bread, cereal, fruit juice, fruit and hot drinks and for my friend they had brought in gluten free bread and pastries which was wonderful and most welcome. The hosts were very welcoming and having done the Camino herself she knew what we were going through!! Altogether a great place to stay.

United StatesThe only thing - small as it is - we had read about paella for communal dinner but our was soup, tortilla and salad. Though it's traditional, Spanish tortilla de patatas is everywhere. We were hoping for almost anything else.
Comfy, clean and good beds. Nice staff.

United StatesEverything about this place was great. They had a nice bar at the top of a long hill, private rooms, places to do wash and hang laundry, an excellent dinner for an additional price, and breakfast that you could serve yourself anytime. And it was completely quiet at night. But most importantly, the couple running this place was so nice and kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

SpainIf i really really have to find something i liked less, i would say the breakfast is not amazing. But considering the price is still aplenty
10 out of 10 just because there's no 11. This place is amazing under every point. The rooms are beautiful, big, comfortable. We were so lucky that the shared bathroom was just for us and it was another 10. Kitchen and dining room are available for the guest. Washing machine and dryer for 4eur each. For 15eur you can get a home made dinner, cooked by the owner herself. The hosts are very very kind and welcoming and so helpful. The dinner is "communal", so you can have a chat with the other guests. Breakfast is included. Until 16.30 you can also access the small bar. But most of all, the quiet and the view over the fields, so nice, so peaceful. I am so in love with the view

SpainI had read excellent reviews about the evening meal but I personally found it very disappointing and over-priced at €15. Watery soup, rice with a little fish (I live in the North of Spain and I would never consider it a paella) and yogurt with berries for dessert. A side salad would have been welcome or some vegetables in the sparse rice dish. One of the guests was allergic to seafood and so his dinner main was a bocadillo (bread roll).
Friendly, cheerful welcome. Great use of technology to scan ID check in / door security. Excellent location and grateful for the accommodation option on the Camino.
