Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ArgentinaCleanliness and location are the strong . When I made the reservation, it was not clear (at least for me) that it was a hostel. I noticed that when it was too late to find another place.
Location is superb, facing Gran Via ave and steps away from Plaza España, the hostel is at the very heart of Madrid. Room was tidy an clean, but so small that placing the luggage turned into a difficult task The furniture was modest but well kept. the walls were painted white and had no ornaments at all, seemed more like an hospital room. The breakfast was excellent both in quantity and quality.

Excellent overnight stop in the heart of Madrid in-between an evening flight arrival and a morning train departure. Very good breakfast. Good value for money and I have used it for the same purpose twice in the past six weeks and will do so again in the future.

Central location. Room was comfortable, we slept well considering the room was facing a very busy street. Tea & Coffee making facilities in room with small fridge for essentials. I would stay here again as location is excellent, however I would not book breakfast.

United StatesIf you're looking for a quiet place to relax at night, you won't find it here. You can hear the sound of vehicles and sirens through the night. I'm 5'10 and my feet are hanging over the bed. The breakfast buffet is always the same, it needs to have a variety.
The location was walking distance to major tourist spots. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful. The housekeeping Filipino lady (Belen) was also very helpful. She was able to fix the stuck balcony window shutter after waiting for 2 days to get it unstuck.

RomaniaIt’s nothing actually, they have two very small elevators and it can get quite busy. But, hey, on the plus side, it has elevators, and you don’t have to carry the luggage on the stairs.
Location location location. And everything was fair, great value for money. It’s not Four Seasons, but the room has a comfortable bed, tv, AC, a large and actually very nice bathroom, the breakfast was intimate with an excellent view, wide variety of food, not only supermarket cheese and meats. It is perfect for a tourist. Metro station Plaza de España is right in front of the building, it’s in the middle of gran via near riu hotel , walking distance to everything, it is perfect!! The stuff is very nice, when we stayed is was cold in Madrid and our ac did not heat, I asked at the reception and they fixed it within minutes. They have 24/7 open reception. Very safe. Again, don’t expect luxurious experiences and interior design in the rooms, it’s very functional. Best kind of functional!
