We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaThe photo of the hotel on Booking.com was inaccurate. It clearly depicts the existence of a bar and restaurant in the hotel, which is not the case. The hotel, prior to its acquisition by Sercotel was previously known as The President, and it is likely the facilities existed then but they do not exist now.
A good size room. Bathroom was functional but the in-bath shower was a bit small. The breakfast offering was very good. The staff, especially those at reception, were exceptional. The old town of Figueres was delightful.

I loved the fact that when a different hotel left me without a way to check in due to a delayed train, this hotel had an overnight desk clerk who was so helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was reasonably priced and tasty. The daytime staff was helpful in providing directions on how to get to the places I wanted to see and things I needed.

FranceI had an upgrade with a hot tub/ bath ,but it wasn’t worth the extra as it was too big to have any positive effects on my tried legs.. Also we had connecting rooms so there was a door into the next room ,locked but this compromised on sounds! I chose this Hotel as it was sold as being very close to the town centre, should you have problems walking ,there are many Hotels really in the centre.

FranceWiFi was very, very poor in the room. The wardrobe door was missing a the wood down the side of the door leaving a rough surface.
The room size was good and very quiet. The shower which for a change did not leak all over the bathroom floor. Underground car parking was very good with plenty of space around the car and secure.

FranceThere is no shower but a bath in the bathroom. The bathroom looked like old. There is no possibility to have dinner in the hotel. Too much guests at the same time for the check-in.
I liked breakfast because we could eat fresh fruits, different type of bread and salty and sweet food. Good coffee. Nice decoration. The staff was really pleasant and efficient.

The rooms great and the buffet was fantastic: plenty of variety including scrambled eggs. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful-she even got me some hot water and milk for a cup of tea.

SpainThe receptionist was all alone and a bit stressed between check ins and dealing with the garage every time a car was entering. The main hall is well maintained but the rest is falling apart, the rooms are old. The carpet in the corridors were old and dirty with stains.
The location is prefect, just 5 minutes form the main area. The room was big and luminous. We had a little issue with the sink dripping and they provided immediate assistance and offered the minibar.

FranceBreakfast was a big chaotic, nothing worked really, orange juice machine broke down, coffee machine was not easy to handle, no adequate coffee cups, replacement of food needed longtime, but otherwise food was good and friendly staff.
Very friendly helpful personnel, the grand size bed was very appreciated, for one night stay no complaint.
