Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaVery poor amenities, the property was tired and in desperate need of a refresh. Small details like the door handle falling off the door, the outdoor furniture not having any cushions on so that when using the sun beds round the pool we had to go and borrow cushions from the table setting to improvise. This spoiled the Aesthetic appeal and was inconvenient. The rooms really need the basic amenities, there was no kettle in the room and only fridges in some rooms not others. The fridges were of very poor quality so didn’t really work well. We also arrived to find one of our two rooms had no toiletries in the bathroom.
The historic features and architecture of the property were unique and stunning. It’s picturesque location and views were spectacular.

United KingdomBetter wifi in the rooms and a more substantial breakfast.
Its lication is beautiful up in the hills beautiful scenery and peaceful and tranquil. You need a car though as it is quite remote. There are some lovely restaurants in Es Verdes which are beey reasonable. To have a feidge in the room would have been very helpful as other than breakfast there is no food available.

SpainStaff not particularly friendly And price per night for my tiny 1.4kg dog not made very clear. It was 25 Euros a day which for 3 days was ok but price for pets, in my view, should be made clearer upon booking.
Lovely location for peace, calm and quiet.

AustriaNo air-conditioning, open windows meant I listened to people on the terrace and the mosquitoes visited me both nights and kept me awake for an hour at 2am. The breakfast was not unique enough; please add local specialities and vary the selection each day. No mini-bar in the room.
The view, the pool, friendly check-in, the peacefulness.

United KingdomI thought the breakfast was a little underwhelming, particularly as I paid extra on top to ensure we had a breakfast option though it didn’t seem as though there was anything other than a pretty barebones continental breakfast available. Egg dishes were also 4 Euro extra though I never saw the chef.
Love the location, gorgeous scenery. You’ll definitely need a car to get here but it’s worth it.

So quiet if you want to just reset this is the place to go, nice pool an sun terrace and the whole place is just lovely. Esporles is just 5 mins by car with some nice restaurants.

United StatesThe hotel was not staffed by a live person after 12pm. If you map to this place via google maps, it will take you to the rear entrance. Either ask the neighbors nearby or zoom out and map it to the front of the property. Everything was operated on the honor system - as in, record your room number if you consume anything at the cafe. We were upgraded to a suite with a lovely balcony overlooking the mountain. The place was absolutely romantic and beautiful. We felt like we were staying inside a castle. No complaints about this place, except we never heard back via the messaging system (I booked it through booking) on the check-out instruction since we had a very early departure. The operating hours for the pool were until 6 pm, as stated. But we saw people in it afterward. Given it was unmanned, I think it would have been okay for the hotel to extend the hours to 8 or 9 pm during the summer since all the guests here were respectful of the rules. One thing to note is that there isn’t a restaurant on site for lunch or dinner (only breakfast), so one should plan to have dinner elsewhere before returning to this paradise in the mountain.

SpainPool hours close too early. Shower head had not been cleaned, and sprayed in all directions from calcium buildup from Mallorca's calcium rich water. Shampoo and soap offered was cheap and disappointed to see it was all 'single use' plastic wrapped which did not fit with the hotel's standards. (I am hiking the GR221 and this is the only - and most luxurious - hotel I stayed on my journey that hasn't offered quality large bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner!) Orange juice on offer at breakfast was the same as at a hostal, not freshly pressed, sweet boxed juice, on an Island known for its 'all year round citrus fruits!
Beautiful well renovated and kept historic hotel with panoramic mountain views. Stunning pool terrace with bougainvillea creeping along the boundary railings. Peaceful elevated terrace for buffet breakfast with mountain views. Spacious, comfortable room with private small balcony overlooking vineyards, plenty of light. Clean, quiet, restful stay. Friendly and very accomodating staff (Robert is lovely).

The room was wonderful, very comfortable and with a stunning view out over the countryside. WE arrived very late but we were given clear instructions on how to let ourselves in, without difficulty. Breakfast was good, taken outside, again with wonderful views. Robert, in charge, was incredibly helpful and even took us the 4 km into Esporles when we had difficulty getting a taxi, as it was Sunday.

CanadaThe only one small thing was that the air conditioning wasn't working, which was challenging as it was very warm. Robert told us that the repair parts had just arrived the morning when it was time for us to leave.
This place is fantastic! The views from the terrace and pool are amazing (Palma, the Mediterranean Sea and beautiful mountains), the house itself takes you back a few centuries, including a giant olive press and chapel within the old walls.
