View from windows on both sides of the room was into the well between house walls, so almost no view, but we were lucky enough to be on the top floor with a view into the sky. Not a real issue, as we were away for most of the day.

We had a pleasant stay here. The hotel is slightly away from the bustling center, making it a more calm and peaceful place (also thanks to presence of Retiro close by), however many points of interest can still be reached by foot if you are a good walker. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff were very nice. We also appreciated the hotel's interior style.

We found the room quite small, with little closet and walk-space -- good for a couple of nights, but we didn't unpack because of this tightness. Common in Europe of course, but we've seen bigger at comparable price.

The location of this hotel provides superb walking access to many areas of Madrid that you'll want to see on foot. The location is quiet since the hotel is tucked away a bit. The room was clean and windows provided light as well as black out shades. The weather was a bit cold the days we stayed and since the room was small, it was nice to hang out in a spacious side 'library/lounge' room away from lobby entry and check-in area. Nice feature compared to most other hotel stays in our EU travels. This side-room had coffee available during day, which worked well with our jet-lag! The breakfast was wonderful and the eating area was vary spacious to indulge in wide variety of choices (also good for jet lag!).

Do not book the room with the extra 2 bunk beds....They put us in there the first night and all it was good for was sleeping.. I cannot believe they charged us so much for that room.

The manager, she was great! Even helped us with luggage, getting tea/coffee in the self serve station. She made a difference.

A great experience, especially the wonderful staff, Virginia, Laura, Fatima and Cristina made us feel very welcome. The hotel is situated in a beautiful building and located very close to the Prado and other places of interest. The breakfast is delicious!

They did not offer you bottles of water in a daily basis as USA, just once when you arrived.

Their car service bundle when we arrived. Good idea. But a totally rip off. The cost from the train station to hotel, which was only a 4-5 min ride cost €33!! When we left we took a taxi & it only cost €9,50. The hotel service left a bad taste

On the pictures you only show the nice rooms, mine was horrible a mix of green with dark brown which look hideous. Courtains look so cheap The bed was like a bunker bed. The floors were never moped. They just made the bed and bathroom

Nothing! This is a good hotel.

Location is very good, a quiet residential area but close to the main art galleries of Madrid. This is the third time that we have stayed in the hotel purely because of its location. All the rooms seem the same, not very stylish but comfortable enough, some are just bigger than others and some have better views. This time we were less lucky as we had a view over a small shady inner courtyard, the rooms at the front overlooking the street are the best in my view. I particularly like the breakfast, lots of choice and excellent, helpful staff who are always cheerful.

It wasn’t clean, everything is very old, lots of stuff is damaged and has nothing to do with 4 stars. Maybe we got this room cuz I was traveling with the dog;)), but I was negatively surprised to see so many “imperfections”.

The main advantage is location. It is just perfect. Close to Retiro park, which is probably the most beautiful park on earth. Close to museums, gran via etc. Literally perfect.
