Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt was intricate to access the Parador, and the staff, though accommodating, were undermanned and not ready to help us up a flight of stairs with our luggage. The terrace bar was extremely pleasant, but there again, understaffed with limited offerings. At breakfast, there was one coffee pot for all guests, and a selection of coffee pods which ran out and weren't replaced. Hot foods were ordered one plate at a time.
The Parador is on the grounds of the Alhambra, so the location could not be better. It is situated in an old convent, with large, well ventilated rooms looking out over the grounds of the Alhambra. Breathtaking views.

RomaniaA spa would complete the experience at this hotel, especially if you have nothing else to do in the evening.
It is a nice four stars hotel, within lovely surroundings. The food was delicious, both for dinner and breakfast.

United States of AmericaFor those of us who do not eat a big breakfast (and therefore do not want to pay for the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet), there should be a way to just have a cup of coffee in the morning - whether or not complimentary. (We did discover that we could go across the street to the very nice Hotel American and have a cup of coffee in its courtyard.)
The location - right at the Alhambra - can't be beat. Our room was spacious and scrupulously clean. The grounds and views are lovely.

United KingdomWhilst the food in the restaurant was good, the room was lit so brightly that we needed sunglasses. It completely ruined the ambience of the place. Service on the terrace was pretty poor. The staff were working extremely hard but there wasn’t enough of them. So tables weren’t cleared quickly and long queues formed waiting for a table. We waited 20 minutes for a table and another 20 minutes to get served. Maybe they need to limit use to residents only until they get enough staff. This isn’t really acceptable when paying €450 a night to stay there.

United States of AmericaThe hotel has an attractive historic exterior, but most rooms are located in two modern wings offering nice views of surrounding gardens but not of the Alhambra complex. Only several rooms on upper floors of the central, old section around the inner courtyard face the “right” direction and do indeed offer spectacular views of Genralife Gardens. Unless you are able to reserve those specific rooms, you may be disappointed. Our room in the modern section was pleasant, clean and efficient, but small and generic, not much different from an average airport hotel. No romantic view, zero artwork or historic touches inside. The charming central courtyard, often shown in official photographs, was inaccessible because of maintenance, as was the big terrace behind the main building with spectacular views of the Generalife Gardens. We were able to sneak in to take a quick picture but most guests did not even realize this section existed. Likewise, dinner was served indoors and well past the sunset hour, so forget the views. Breakfast buffet was chaotic with a single server frantically trying to keep up with fast disappearing croissants, juices, etc. The main gate where a taxi drops you off, or a parking lot where you leave your car, are separated from the main building entrance by about 80-100 meters of a rough, ornamental, cobblestone walkway on which rolling your luggage is impossible without damaging the wheels. Be prepared to carry your suitcases in hand and off the ground, unless you first go to the reception to request help. Location of the hotel is great for visiting Alhambra but remote and impractical for other sightseeing in central Granada itself. Overall, the hotel offers a comfortable accommodation with historic touches. However, in a country full of spectacular paradores, a flagship facility with prices starting above $600 per night should provide experience much closer to amazing.
For those planning a visit to Alhambra the location cannot be better as it is next to the Generalife Gardens gate and a few minutes away from other Alhambra entrances. To be clear, as a parador guest you still need to purchase a regular ticket to enter any gardens or palaces in Alhambra. Clean, modern rooms in a historic building. Do make a point of locating several important fragments of the original palace located right off the reception area. We appreciated an early check-in at 12:30pm. Helpful, English-speaking staff.
