Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandNot much, it was great.
Rather clinical looking room but it was clean, light, comfortable in a terrific location. Effortless check in. A small, well run hotel with a welcoming entry. Lifts. Parking building 2 minutes walk away, just easy for a one or two night hotel stay.

United KingdomIn the heart of the old town and is a really central location. Restaurants, bars, port and beaches are all within a couple of minutes walk. There is restricted car access to the area so there's no traffic noise.... The hotel has a car park that you can use.

United States of AmericaNo complaints! Though if you don't like sugar in your coffee, be sure to ask how to use the coffee machine! =-D
Centrally located near churches, bars, and restaurants and close to the water on both sides of Cimavilla. Clean room, nice little lobby offering tea and a fridge all day, nice staff, easy stay.

BelgiumWe chose this hotel because it advertised free parking. This is untrue. There is an underground car park not far away but it costs €10 / night, cash only. The hotel receptionist said it was a mistake on Booking.com. Why doesn't the hotel rectify the mistake, then?
It was clean, room was good, bathroom was fine. Breakfast formula (help yourself to tea, fruit, cake) was good enough.

United States of AmericaWe stayed here in April while hiking the Camino del Norte. The location is in the historic neighborhood of Cimavilla, which is a short walk to the center of Gijon. The hotel is newly renovated, clean, and all new furniture. The rooms are quite small.

United States of AmericaIt might have been nice to have coffee available for free in the reception too.
The room and bathroom were very comfortable and clean. The beds, though twin sized, were of a good size. The shower was magnificent—with water pressure and temperature easy to control. Free tea which was appreciated. We loved the location— the old town yet close to everything.

United KingdomNot the easiest place to find, and Google maps leaves you abandoned a little distance away. - obviously not the hotels fault. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but you can make your own tea/ coffee free of charge.
Very clean everywhere. The property appears to have been recently refurbished and the bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Very well positioned for exploring the town.there is a vending machine offering snacks in the foyer. And water is available at anytime.

PolandWalls between rooms are not very thick. Sometimes could be heard neighbors.
Hotel Myro is situated in old, quiet, ancient part of Gijón. We had nice, quite big room with clean bathroom. In the reception is situated nice corner with various teas, water, microwave, cups & dishes. Close distance to the local bars and restaurants. Also short distance to both beaches and upper park called Cerro de Catalina.
