Great breakfast with a good choice of hot and cold food, freshly squeezed orange juice was lovely. We arrived early and were given a lovely room. Our expectations were far exceeded in this quaint little hotel.

All rooms are on the 1st floor, and there is no lift. Staff will carry luggage up, but the stairs could be a problem for guests with restricted mobility. Shower over bath also requires agility to access.

Location is quite rural but only 15 minutes from central Girona and 20 minutes from airport. Room was clean and comfortable, with good WiFi and a/c. Bathroom has whirlpool bath with shower above. Breakfast was very good indeed. And there is a beautiful swimming pool!

Gorgeous little country house hotel in a beautiful setting, the pool area was excellent. The room was spotless with a comfortable four posted bed and we really appreciated the complementary cava & fruit! Secure parking and a staff member provided a cover for our motercycle! Breakfast was delicious. Quite location but walking distance to a small village and a taxi to Gerona was 15 Euro. Would love to return!

A beautiful property, full of old world charm but with excellent modern facilities. The staff were extremely helpful and always on hand. Very comfortable beds and a wonderful outlook from the windows. A comprehensive breakfast completed a very enjoyable stay.

I only spent one night, arriving late in the evening and departing early. Everything was satisfactory.

Noisy gardening tools being used in the late evening. Breakfast not served until 9am is late for travelling. None of the restaurants in the local area were open on Monday night, not even the pizza shop!

The location is perfect for an overnight stop. There is a lovely pool on site.

The little things included: Limescale in bath around jets. Taps at sink gives you hot water and warm water, no cold. Only one mirror above the bathroom sink. Difficult to control aircon, we spent ages trying to turn on and off and woke mid-night to find it was freezing us. Broken shutter latches mean the morning sun streams in across the bed. But our windows were overlooking the road and the yard and you either have darkness to get dressed in or the fear of flashing someone! The big things: An intolerable lack of access to coffee! No kettle in room, you have to request a coffee to be made for you in the owners’ private kitchen at breakfast and a pod machine in reception which makes only very strong and bitter coffee, and the pods cost 2 euro from the erratic vending machine. I like a milky coffee which wasn’t possible outside of breakfast time. The fact that we had to drive past the aromas of the Nescafe factory every day heightened our frustration! Wifi was patchy, had to ring the bell at reception to have it restored, but at several other times the bell wasn’t answered at all. When he did come, I felt rushed dealing with the younger man on reception who seemed constantly grumpy and impatient to return to his living room. He gave us the initial tour which really only consisted of impressing on us the importance of using the front door properly so that we didn’t have to bother them in the evenings. Enjoying a peaceful morning coffee reading the news outside was difficult with the older male staff member regularly taking phone calls on loudspeaker, (why?) in the communal yard and smoking leaving full and stinky ashtrays which then filled with rain. I know I am sensitive to sensory input but had hoped for more quiet and cleaner air. The day by the pool was slightly marred by the sounds of plant machinery the other side of the gorge.

Building is pretty, but the pictures are misleading. The breakfast wasn’t bad - pastries, meats and cheese and fruit and also cooked items. However the toaster was extremely slow. We had a spacious room and bed, and the pool was clean but cold. Location was good for ease of access to Girona, taxis are affordable when you want to drink when out. Beautiful surroundings, fields of barley, rivers with lots of fauna and trees. So some lovely walks when it wasn’t raining. But enormous downpours make the surrounding roads turn into rivers. We had a good powerful shower but it was a slippery effort getting in and out of the bath it’s over. Bottle of cava was replenished daily with water and some fruit.

Bed was very uncomfortable, room lacked a second chair, and the first one was not very comfortable. Shower was very small and did not drain well. Room suffered from highway noise and one night from a party held at a nearby restaurant till the early hours of the morning! There was also a broken water pipe and no hot water on our last morning. Closest evening dining options are in the city of Girona, a twenty minute drive away. And oh yes, English is not spoken here.

Spacious rooms, interesting building. Owner who wanted to be a good host.
