My only complaint was the hair dryer would over heat too quickly so it needed many breaks. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

I was visiting my daughter who is studying abroad. This hotel was close to her apt but also very conveniently located to everything. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom was great (strong shower) and the staff friendly. I would book again.

We couldn't get the window in our room to open however, the room was fully air conditioned so we didn't ask the staff about it.

Our room was nice and quiet and the hotel is just a short walk to the Gran Via. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the fresh fruit at breakfast. The staff in reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom door squeaked, the shower head was oddly-shaped and there was no extractor fan. There was no whole fruit left at breakfast on the second morning, no beans on the third morning and for “cereals”, only one was provided and it was 19% sugar. Parking was in the public car park at the top of the next street and would be easier if you have a small car! There were two spaces outside the hotel where you could park for up to half an hour to load and unload, if the spaces weren’t already taken by delivery vans. It was a real palaver trying to find someone to get out using the parking ticket endorsed by the hotel, which reduced the 3-day fee from 87 to 66 euros.

The room had a bath (unusual) and bath sponges (never seen before!). Also a small fridge and a kettle. The breakfast menu was comprehensive - fresh fruit salad, natural and flavoured yogurts, cereals, whole fruits, bread, pastries and preserves, cheeses, charcuterie, fried or scrambled eggs, beans and bacon.

It was so noisy when the window was open. Bring ear plugs if you normally sleep with an open window. It was fine when the window was closed

The lack of charging capability in the room. There were practically no charging outlets and the ones that were there didn’t work or had a lamp plugged in it already.

The location of this hotel is a winner!! We took one bus from the airport that dropped us off within 5 minutes walking distance. It is located just 1-2 blocks off of the main Gran Via street. It's easily accessible to major attractions and public transportation yet it's on a quiet enough street with a few restaurants, a grocery store, and a pharmacy close by. For our three nights, the room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, it included a mini fridge, adequate outlets, and the bathroom was the biggest we had in our 3 weeks of travel. The AC was not very cool, barely sufficient in the warm temperatures. The warm breakfast was not outstanding, but good. Breakfast would be worth the cost when included in the room reservation. Both Paco and Sergio were helpful in answering questions or in making suggestions. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would happily stay there again.

Air conditioning was blowing straight at the bed, which made it impossible to use at tight. In Madrid AC is essential. The green light at the exit of the room was so bright that one could not sleep. This hotel is good for 3 stars. But four is definitely too much.

The hotel is in the most perfect location. Lots of shops, restaurants for locals and tourists in the area and is only a block away from Gran Via, El Corte Ingles, the Opera. It's about a 15 minute walk to Salamanca, Plaza Mayor, Prado.

the only inconvenience was that the air conditioning stopped working for no apparent reason when we came back from dinner. We were too tired to try and get it sorted, and managed an OK night's sleep.

The location is fabulous, and the room was spacious and well maintained, especially the bathroom. The staff we met were friendly. We had a street-facing first floor room, so worried it might be noisy but we didn't notice anything with the window closed.

1. The hotel is in the middle of an area with a few bars and it is very noisy when the windows are open. It was especially noisy because of gay parades and gatherings on the street where the hotel is. (Last week of June is a gay week) 2. There is not one tv channel in English in the hotel. Very frustrating. The front desk person suggested that I use my own internet. Strange. 3. There is no floor length mirror in the room. 4. The beds are way too soft. 5. The hand soap was not replaced often. 6. The hotel is overpriced.
