Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing really, once we got used to getting to grips which side of the road the buses stopped to get into Torrox costa to explore more of the surrounding towns were we were fine.
The location was a typical Spanish village which we loved, away from hustle and bustle a quick recharge for a short time was lovely. The hotel was tucked into a row of sleepy little houses and apartments the odd shop and bar further along,or a stroll down hill to the square which had bars, cafes, restaurants supermarkets and fresh fruit and veg and bakery.

Just returned from a week at La Casa in April. I can't speak highly enough about the owners, Sarah and Karen. They are friendly, personable and on hand when you need them without being too much! The rooms are very clean, comfortable and the views from the shared roof terrace are beautiful! We loved to grab a beer from the honesty bar and sit on the terrace before going out for the evening. So peaceful! The hotel location is perfectly situated a very short distance from the main Pueblo Plaza where you can eat, drink and watch the world go by. There's a great mix of locals and ex pats from all around this village and it feels really friendly. We got talking to numerous people, residents and other holiday makers. We wandered round the village and enjoyed the peace in places and slight buzz in others but Torrox Pueblo is a short drive from areas like Torrox Costa, Nerja or an approx hour from Malaga if more life is required. However, it's a haven to return to at the end of the day. Plenty of free car parks but we used one in particular which is just a short pleasant stroll from the hotel, Concordia. The hotel doubles as a restaurant for 3 nights (poss 4 in height of season?) and we booked in for a dinner on the last night they offer service. The food was so good and had we of tried it the first night, may well have booked in all nights to eat there. Finally and only a small point, we travel a fair bit and whilst try to spend as little time in hotels as possible, whilst we are, the TV usually restricts me to watching BBC world news on a loop.... which eventually wears thin! La Casa had several English channels including Breakfast TV which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend and be happy to return given the opportunity. Show less

We had a lovely room opening out onto the terrace with amazing views over the hills. Karen and Sarah were great hosts, really helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times during our stay and the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed, we would thoroughly recommend it. We hired a car from Malaga for our holiday and parked in a car park nearby. If you do the same we would recommend a small car, some of the roads are very narrow - a Fiat 500 is ideal!

United KingdomHotel La Casa was the perfect find for us, very warm and friendly welcome. Our room was immaculate and nicely decorated, Tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge in the room. We had fabulous views from the balcony, enjoyed with a coffee or glass of wine. Sarah, Karen and Neil are fabulous hosts and helped with recommendation's on places to visit and anything else we needed. We ate in the restaurant a few nights and it was excellent, good selection on the menu. Gambas Pil Pil was recommended and it was very tasty, so we had it again another night. Lamb shank the meat just fell off the bone, the Seafood medley so tasty. Everything we had was just right, from portion size to price. This hotel and the hosts are just perfect in every way! If we are up in Torrox again we will be booking in the La Casa for sure! Thank you again ladies......
