While I was aware of the check-in times, it was still slightly jarring to see the hotel completely devoid of life when arriving in the (not very late) evening and only a single person on site in the morning. The automated check-in system, although easy to follow, felt impersonal. I understand the benefits of it, but would have personally wished for more human interaction.

The room itself was very clean and well furnished, with a comfortable bed. I didn't really get the chance to assess the location since it was only a one night's stay, but it was easy to find. The staff was exceptionally helpful and accomodating at checkout.

Beautiful setting, the view from the terrace was spectacular! The receptionist was friendly and helpful, gave us information on where to eat and places of interest. Room was basic, but very clean and comfortable , again with a great view.

This hotel is going through a change of ownership and running on a skeleton staff, but that staff is the most wonderful, helpful, welcoming person you could want to meet, Estellea made our short stay so very enjoyable, Comfortable beds in a good size room with a view to die for ,good range of breakfast goodies and we would definitely stay again

No reception staff when we arrived at 6pm. Code to front door didn’t work and finally got hold of someone for correct code. Breakfast offered but no one in sight in morning and no food out. No staff in morning for us to settle our bill, cleaner took cash as no card machine. Not ideal. I’m sure it’s better in season.

Good free private parking, lovely view of old town from juliet balcony, dog friendly, quiet, very close to the old hilltop town of SOS, (just a few minutes walk, don't drive it's a lovely maze of narrow streets) nice staff. Served at table, nice inclusive Spanish breakfast. Good range evening menu medium pricing, good portions

Only a little English spoken by the receptionist, But to be expected by it’s remote location,

I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, the views are great. The medieval town of Sos del Ray Cólatico is only a short walk away. If you want traditional Spain without the busy touristy bits, this is it.

While the hotel is just outside the village the bonus is that you have a view of the village which is very interesting. We booked a junior suite and so we were very happy with the room. The breakfast was very good and there were a few nice places in the village for dinner. The village is an easy walk from the hotel. And there's a chocolate shop!

No facilities really. We didn't know that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday. Luckily managed to get something in town. Nothing in room, ie no bottled water etc. Luckily we take a travel kettle

Bedrooms are a little dated.

We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Dinner was excellent - we chose the cod, and octopus to share. The views from the verandah to the town are spectacular and it's only a 5 mins walk to explore the birthplace of King Ferdinand. What a place to visit! The only thing that could improve the hotel would be a refurb of the rooms, but as a 1-night stop it didnt marr our experience. Pet friendly, too!

Certainly not the hotel's fault but the biblical storm we watched seemed to bring out the most voracious biting insects. We should have kept the window closed and relied on the excellent air conditioner.

Super location on top of the hill with a vista to die for. Lovely full height window. Great ancient Spanish city with charm and an uncanny ability to get you lost in cool cobbled streets.

The view of Sos was amazing from the room, we could see the town and the mountains. The breakfast was good however it was not included. Nice staff as well! Very spacious bathroom and good value for money.

Great location. Motorbike friendly. Bike parking near main entrance so secure. Very reasonable price. 5 mins walk into historic town. Luvly shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very reasonable prices for food and drink. Food was ok.
