My ONLY issue was the temperature of the pool. It was heated and they say to 24 degrees. But it's a big pool and it is cold. If the sun is shining and you get past the shock of getting in, and once you keep swimming, it is fine. It's the ONLY thing that would put me off a winter break here again.

Amazing hotel. Very peaceful and just lovely and quiet. Great location near supermarkets and the marina. Staff lovely. This is a gem of a hotel. Spotlessly clean. Beds were really comfy. Room is a great size. We had a room overlooking the pool..just fab!

After many years of staying at THB Tropical Island, they couldn't accommodate 4 of us in one apartment this year, so we looked further afield. We were wowed from a friendly welcome at check-in (Gaul), to the standard of accommodation and its location. The kitchenette is really well provisioned, with a freezer too, which is a novelty for us! We didn't stay around the pool as we love Playa Dorada beach, enjoying the scenic walk along the coast path (past the immense new Barcelo hotel and its stinky drains), Playa Blanca restaurants and the marina. We were impressed with being supplied with pool towels (which we held off changing more than once to save water etc) as this really made a difference to our packing. We were also allowed clean towels for showering post check-out but before our return flight. It didn't bother us that there wasn't any entertainment or an evening bar as we head out anyway, and this makes for a very peaceful hotel. From our balcony we could hear the music from Oasis in the Marina (which doesn't go on late), and enjoy drinks from the nearby Hiperdino, which suited us. Can't comment about the breakfast as we didn't pay for this option. We won't need to go back to THB Tropical Island now as we are impressed all round with the Cordial and its staff.

The breakfast, it's not varied enough and the quality is a bit poor (for example, I have never tried a jam that bad in my life! Croissants etc not great either !) quality I think investing in a better breakfast would make a huge difference! After midnight it's not acceptable that at the reception the person doesn't even speak very basic English; and as a matter of fact, he wasn't even willing to speak Spanish, almost like he was there by chance, not to fill a receptionist role!

The hairdryer! You have to press the on button for the duration of use making it extremely hard and painful to use.

Great staff, facilities and location, just 5 mins walk from the marina. Lovely room with balcony, all very clean. My only negative point is the hairdryer - useless - so definitely bring you own! Otherwise a great stay

We had a lovely stay and would definitely come again - if I had to say anything negative it could only be that the pool was quite cold (don’t think it was heated) and it’s very quiet by the pool which is good for relaxing but we had a 1 year old so was conscious of being loud - but everyone was so friendly and no one minded him splashing around!

The location could not have been better - you could see the marina from the hotel and the marina is beautiful! We chose not to have breakfast or lunch etc included in the hotel but we wanted to eat at the marina and I’m glad we did because there was a lot around! The restaurants were lovely, family friendly and lovely setting. There is a supermarket directly next to the hotel too which is perfect - everything that y you need. We haven’t stayed at a four star hotel for a while, we usually stay five star so I was a bit apprehensive before coming and when we arrived the outside of the hotel (front entrance) was nice but nothing to blow you away - however, when you get inside the rooms they’re lovely and clean, beds were comfy, bathroom was very clean and well presented, the kitchen area was very handy as we had our one year old with us. The pool area is nice.

Although there are many restaurants at the Marina, we have visited these many times over the last nine years of visiting so it would have been a nice change if there had been a restaurant at the hotel. I thought on one of the websites I went on it said it had an A la Carte restaurant where we could have eaten in the evening. However, this is not a complaint just a personal preference.

Location is great as really close to the Marina. Pool was very clean and not that cold considering its size. Plenty of steps to access the pool. Pool toilets very clean and pool snack bar very good. Bed comfortable with plenty of pillows.

The situation of the hotel was fantastic! There is a private gate into the marina where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops, the hotel is literally a 3 minute walk into the marina with all the hustle and bustle but you would never believe it as the hotel is so peaceful, there are plenty of sun-beds no getting up early to get a bed, the pool is lovely, the snack bar closes at 5 every day. There is a lovely sandy beach a 10 minute walk away with plenty of beds and umbrellas and a row of lovely shops and restaurants on the way which have only been open since March. We had an apartment which had a big fridge freezer and electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, there is also a washing up pack provided and toothbrushes and hairdryer in the bathroom. There is a tv in the lounge and in the bedroom, plenty of hangers in the wardrobe and a lovely king size bed!! Free pool towels provided which are lovely and big. I can’t comment on the food as we went self catering. I honestly cannot find a negative thing to say about this hotel.

The location by the marina was perfect. A supermarket, bakery and great selection of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The resort was spotlessly clean and the apartment was well equipped and very comfortable.

Quick and easy check in and room ready ahead of check in time. Lovely apartment, great size and well equipped. Really comfy bed. Lovely little balcony which got the sun in the afternoon/ evening. Really chilled - no pressure for sun loungers around pool and generally lovely and quiet ( very few children during our stay) Had booked bed and breakfast and breakfast was great - freshly cooked and tasty Great location right behind the marina with access to plenty of bars and restaurants

Check in and check out were easy and quick, informative reception people. The apartment was excellent. Very spacious, fully equipped (and everything worked). New towels every day or so, nice pool, air conditioning, great beds. Really good shower. Powerful WiFi, worked everywhere in the hotel and grounds. The balcony was good, sun all day. Staff at the hotel were efficient and polite but also unobtrusive. Good for local shops, restaurants etc, close to bus for Playa Blanca town, but also within walking distance (20 minutes gentle amble along the sea front), 30 second walk to the marina.
