The place needs to be refurbished. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the air conditioner was noisy.

The noise level was noticeable, likely due to the central location and bustling street outside, so light sleepers might find it challenging without earplugs. The room itself is quite minimalist, featuring only a bed, a wardrobe, and two small bedside tables – so it might feel sparse for those expecting a bit more comfort or decor.

I stayed at Hostalin Barcelona Gran Via for three nights, and overall, it was a positive experience with a few areas for improvement. The staff service was phenomenal – they were incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in and communication smooth and pleasant. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Barcelona, making it easy to reach key attractions on foot or via public transport. Despite its central location, the signage is a bit subtle, so it can be a bit tricky to spot from the street. Once inside, though, the cleanliness is top-notch, and I appreciated that the room was kept neat and tidy.

The hairdryer was basic. I ended up not washing my hair whilst there as it would have taken a very long time to dry it!

It felt safe and secure. A bottle of water on arrival was really appreciated. I liked that it was a small operation. It didn’t feel that much like a hostel. Although it was right in the hustle and bustle of a big city it didn’t feel like it inside. No noise from outside the hostel could be heard at night. Shower gel, towels and soap provided.

A bit far about 1km from the old quarter old town but it's close to Sagrada Familia. Receptionist can't speak good English.

Both room and bathroom are spacious and clean. The shower area is big. Love the balcony overseeing the main street view with the chair to enjoy morning coffee. There's a mini fridge to keep cold drinks and fruits. Street is safe and quiet at night. Walking distance to main shopping street and Casa Mila and Battlo. There's lift to room and common area providing drinking water and filtered coffee and tea and some biscuits.

some of the stairs were a bit onerous, and really have to make it clear that this hotel is a bit of a cross between an apartment and a hotel and it's treading a fine line between the two.

The facilities in the room such as hairdryer was very old; hence it didn’t work well. Others were pretty basic. Pillows were very soft and small.

We stayed for 4 nights and they didn’t changed the towels. We couldn’t open the window on the terrace. They weren’t cleaning the hostel room at all. When we went it was cleaned at the beginning and after that they just throw the garbage once or twice.

The location is superbe. In a beautiful central area of Barcelona, from where one can access easily to everywhere, either walking or by metro. Two metro stations nearby. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You can drop the baggage if you arrive too early and also after checking out. The place is simple buy very clean.

Very Basic Room and you can see it needs a little bit of TLC, my mattress needs replacing as the middle part was sinking slightly therefore not great for the back, but for 1 night stay I was fine. Most rooms are near Reception and it can be noisy with people arriving late at night.

It's a good enough place to stay, perfect location, not too far from the center but away enough from the busy tourist areas. Easy to find and staff are friendly. Room is large enough with the high ceiling making it bigger and more spacious than what it is. Other reviews mention noise roads but I felt with the balcony doors closed it was quiet enough, so just keep it closed :)

I didn’t know there was a pantry until my last day. I wish someone told me properly. Language is a bit of an issue for some staff given the nature of the business.

when we take a luggage after check out time, there is no receptionist stand by, they run between three hostalin in barcelona, it is okay to wait but they make so much effort

We had a wonderful balcony but the street was very busy and bus stop right in front of building. That may be an asset for some but I am a light sleeper and wanted to sleep late because of jet lag.

The common room, where guests leave their food, was nice, however there was no sink… so we weren’t sure where to wash our plates & glasses after use… (we just used our own bathroom sinks). The hairdryer worked only 10 seconds for every 5 mins it sat in its holder lol. The TV remote had lost all of its icons and I couldn’t navigate it lol.

Excellent location! Smack-bang in the middle of Barcelona. Nearby bus stop can take you up and down the city very easily. The room is spacious and clean. The staff were very kind and proactive despite language barriers.

Property was very good, located close to all sightseeings, in walking distance. Staff is very friendly and polite, cleaned room every day. Barcelona Nord Station is very close, heart of downtown. I recommend it for my friends, fair enough for the price, considering that hostels are expensive in Barcelona.

The shower was a bit slippery so you had to be very careful.

Location and the extra enclosed sitting area. The host was always super friendly and very attentive. They made it very special by gifting us a bottle of Cava and two fluted glasses for our honeymoon. Very kind and thoughtful.

It was late check-in (around 01:00), and I had agreed it beforehand with the hotel. When we arrived there was nobody at the reception. The staff did not answer the phone and WhatsApp. We spent 30 minutes sitting before the closed door (with 2 kids), then somebody appeared and let us come in.

We were traveling to Valencia by train, so we spent one night at this hotel. The room and facility are good for this price, but not sure about the long stay.

I have booked hotel almost three months ago with attach bathroom.Unfortunately when we arrived we got fell room. My family was disappointed & unhappy. By da way we r managing this problem but next time much more effective about that.

- I got sick (not the Accom fault) so I spent 3 days in bed- and it was a great room to just stay in bed and be unwell in hahahah. - no complaints!

- good location. Easy to walk to all the attractions near by. - comfy bed (although it was cold with only a sheet on the bed BUT staff were able to supply another blanket) - staff were lovely and very helpful
